ETERNITY’S BELOVED

The one who loved the mist,

The one who loved the rain,

The one who loved the river and the breeze,

And the vast, deep sea.

The one who loved the sun,

And dreamed of a journey together

To the peaks of the snowy mountains...

My beloved.

As you burn away on the funeral pyre,

And turn into a handful of ashes

Resting within my cupped palms...

Let us go together to those snowy peaks.

I shall scatter the sacred ashes of your love

Upon the layers of that pure white snow...

Then, melting within the frost,

Dissolving into the river, flowing with the breeze,

Embraced by the rain, the sun, and the mist,

When you finally reach the sea,

Your essence fills everything

That you once so dearly loved.

Kissing the sky with the warmth of the sun,

You fall again as a rain of love...

Upon the bosom of the earth, into the rivers,

And into the depths of the ocean.

As love, you flow once more,

Returning... back into me.
