Abdul Hadi Sadoun (Iraq/Spain) is a writer, researcher and hispanist who lives in Madrid. Bachelor of Hispanic Studies at the University of Baghdad. PhD in Philosophy and Literature at the Autonoma University of Madrid. Author of a lengthy list of books, both in Arabic and Spanish. Among his many publications in Spanish it can be highlighted the following ones: Writing in cuneiform (Caracas, 2006), Familiar plagiarism (Tenerife, 2008), Bird in the mouth and other poems (Habana, 2009), Always, always (Zaragoza, 2010), Fields of the stranger (Granada, 2011) and Memories of an Iraqi dog (Barcelona, 2016). He has recently published “They are not verses what I write” (Short anthology of Darmi, the Iraq’s women popular songs (ed. Olifante 2018). Abdul Hadi’s poetic work has been appreciated by many cultural entities.

 

Abdul Karim Al-Ahmad (Syria/ Germany) is an author from Syria. He currently resides in Germany. He writes poetry, stories, and social blogs. May of his works have been published in number of  international literary magazines and websites. Several translations of his poems have been published in English, Dutch, Italian, and German. He won the Ossi di Seppia International Poetry Prize. In Italy, as the best foreign author.

 

Aftab Husain (Pakistan/Österreich) ist Lyriker, Übersetzer und Literaturkritiker aus Pakistan. Er studierte Literaturwissenschaft an der Punjab Universität Lahore und promovierte an der Universität Wien. Er schreibt in Urdu und in der indischen Nationalsprache Hindi. Seine Gedichte wurden in zahlreiche Sprachen übersetzt. Husain war nach seiner Flucht aus Pakistan Stipendiat der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung und des österreichischen Bundeskanzleramts und wurde vom Internationalen PEN im Rahmen des Projekts „Writers in Exile“ betreut. Seine Poesie und Literaturkritiken wurden in allen bedeutenden literarischen Zeitschriften Indiens und Pakistans veröffentlicht. Zurzeit unterrichtet er an der Universität Wien.

 

Afeif Ismail (Sudan/Australien) ist ein Dichter, Theater Schriftsteller und Menschenrechtsaktivist. Er ist in Al Hasahisa Sudan geboren, seit 2003 ist er in Westaustralien niedergelassen. Er erhielt zahlreiche Auszeichnungen für im seine kreativen Arbeiten innerhalb und außerhalb Australiens und nimmt regelmäßig als Vertreter seines zweiten Heimatlands Australien, an internationalen Konferenzen zum Kinder und Jugendtheater teil. Viele seiner Bücher wurden auf Arabisch und Englisch sowie verschiedene Übersetzungen der spanisch-deutsch-schwedischen Sprache veröffentlicht.

 

Ajmer Rode (India/Canada) was born in Rode of Punjab, India. Rode has published several books of poetry, prose, drama, and translation in Punjabi and English. He is the author of two books of poetry in English, Poems at My Doorstep (Caitlin Press, 1985) and Blue Meditations (Third Eye Publications, 1985). Rode’s honors include the Best Oversees Punjabi Author award from the Punjab Languages Department. He also served on the National Council of the Writers Union of Canada, chairing its Racial Minority Writers Committee. He lives in Vancouver.

 

Ali Al Hasan (Syrien/Österreich) ist ein Syrischer Schriftsteller. Er ist geboren am 22.4. 1972 /Syrien, studierte Journalismus an der Fakultät für Philosophie und Geisteswissenschaften; Uni Damaskus (Abschluss BA 1995). Veröffentlichte als Kritiker und Journalist ab 1999 zahlreiche Artikel in verschiedensten Printmedien im Bereich Literatur, Kunst, Gesellschaft und Soziales, ebenso Interviews mit wichtigen Gegenwartsautoren der arabischen Welt. Als Medienexperte: leitende Position für Öffentlichkeitsarbeit, Presse und Beratungstätigkeit.

 

Alireza Abiz (Iran/UK) is an Iranian poet, literary critic and translator based in London. He studied English Literature in Mashhad and Tehran universities and received his PhD in Creative Writing –Poetry from Newcastle University, UK. Abiz has written extensively on Persian contemporary literature and culture. His scholarly book ‘Censorship of Literature in Post-Revolutionary Iran: Politics and Culture since 1979’ is forthcoming by Bloomsbury. He has so far published five collections of poetry in Persian; ‘Stop! We must get off’, ‘Spaghetti with Mexican sauce’, ‘I can hear a tree from my desk’ “13/1 Koohsangi Street” and ‘Black Line- London Underground’. The latest collection published in 2017 was awarded the most prestigious independent poetry award in Iran, the Shamlou Award.  Abiz is also an award-winning translator and has translated some leading English language poets including Basil Bunting, Derek Walcott, Jack Kerouac and C.K. Williams into Persian. He is a board member in Poetry Translation Centre and the chief judge in Sarah Maguire Poetry in Translation Prize.

 

Alex Plescan (Romania/Australia) is a Romanian writer who lives in New Zealand. Born in 1967, he made his debut in literary magazines in 1981. Alex published prose, poetry, essay and critique and one of his plays was staged in Bucharest for three years. He is a co-founder of the Literary Club, a new aesthetical movement launch in Romania in the early 90s. Alex writes in Romanian and English. His latest book is SANDU - short stories, published by Tracus Arte in 2016.

Andreas Sucharski (Österreich/Polen) ist 1983 als Kind polnischer Migranten in Wien geboren und aufgewachsen. 2009 absolvierte er das Studium als Übersetzer und arbeitet seither als Sprachtrainer für Deutsch und Englisch. Er ist immer noch aktives Mitglied der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Literarisches Übersetzen im Polnischlehrgang des Zentrums für Translationswissenschaft (vormals das Institut für Übersetzen und Dolmetschen) an der Universität Wien, übersetzt in diesem Rahmen bevorzugt Gedichte aus dem Polnischen ins Deutsche, aber auch Prosatexte. Er verfasst außerdem selbst Gedichte auf Deutsch, Englisch und Polnisch (mit gelegentlichen Einsprengseln von Italienisch und Latein).

 

Andrija Radulović (Montenegro) ist Schriftsteller, Herausgeber mehrerer Zeitschriften für Literatur, Kultur und Kunst, Essayist, Publizist, Literaturkritiker, Anthologe und Übersetzer. Er ist Autor von zwölf Gedichtbänden und zwei Anthologien. Seine Gedichte sind in verschiedene Sprachen übersetzt. . Er war Generaldirektor für die Förderung und Entwicklung des kulturellen und künstlerischen Schaffens im Ministerium für Kultur und Medien von Montenegro. Radulović ist Mitglied des Schriftstellerverbandes Montenegros und der Literaturgesellschaft „Njegoš“, sowie des Komitees für Literatur der montenegrin- ischen Akademie der Wissenschaften und Künste.

Anisoara Laura Mustetiu (Romania/Australia) is a Romanian poet living in Australia. Born 1971 in Romania, she studied Journalism in Germany and Creative writing and Business communication at the Griffith University in Australia. Her poems were published in 2018 and 2019 in various Romanian cultural magazines, such as Confluente literare, Logos si Agape, Armonii culturale, Climate literare, Asi romani and more. She is also writing essays, one of these dedicated to her father, was published in 2019 in the Romanian Anthology of Essays “Taina scrisului.”

Anton Marku (Kosovo/Österreich) wurde am 15. August 1971 in Gjakova (Kosovo) geboren, wo er Literatur studierte. Danach absolvierte er ein Jus-Studium an der Universität Pristina und schloss dann Masterstudien an der Universität in Wien ab. Seit vierzehn Jahren lebt und arbeitet Anton Marku in Österreich. Er schreibt vor allem Lyrik, aber auch kurze Erzählungen. Bisher hat er zwölf Gedichtbände und zwei Geschichtensammlungen veröffentlicht. Einige seiner Werke sind auch in die englische, deutsche, rumänische, kroatische, serbische, russische und arabische Sprache übersetzt worden.

 

 

Arshad Latif (Pakistan/UK) a famous name in Pakistani diaspora poetry. He writes in Urdu – the national language of Pakistan – both nazm (poems) and ghazal with equal fluency and expertise. First collection of his poetry: Chasma e Khwab Se (From the Dream’s Fountain) was published about two decades ago. Now-a-days he is working on his second book. Axel Azergui (Morocco/France) is a Berber writer, poet and a career journalist who lives in northern France where he continues to cover issues of migration, indigenous peoples, and arts. Azergui is from a south-eastern Moroccan Amazigh desert town, Tinejdad, where he completed his early education. He received a degree in law from the University of Meknes. Besides numerous poetry project and short stories, Azergui published four novels in Tamazight: Aghrum n yihaqqaren (Bread of Crows) Rabat, 2006 which he received the Qadi Kaddour Award for creative writing from David Hart Foundation based in Spain, Ighed n Tlelli (The ashes of freedom), Paris 2012, Imeggura g Imazighen (The last of the freemen), Lille, 2014, and Imecca n tirrgin (The ember eaters), Lille, 2017. Azergui, translated two of his own novels Tamazight into French Bread of crows and The ashes of freedom in 2013. He founded IDLES, a literary magazine that specializes in prose in Tamazight.

Benjamin Skomorac (Bosnien und Herzegowina) was born in Serbia. I finished elementary school as well as Technical High School in Zenica with great success, with a number of honors after graduation, after that I enrolled in the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Zenica, Department of B / h / s Language and Literature. In addition to studying language and literature, I also write short forms of texts, prose and poems. I currently live in Zenica (BiH), a professor of Bosnian language and literature. So far my poems have been published in the collections of Trinity from Gradište (Croatia), Sindjelic's Cagar fire (Serbia), Pannonian seagull (Serbia), Carpe Diem (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Drina literary meetings (Bosnia and Herzegovina), and many others.

 

Besim Xhelili (Albanien/Österreich) geb. 1977 in Tetova/MKD, lebt seit 1998 in Wien. Studium der Geografie in Tetova/MKD und Wien; Vorsitzender des Bundes albanischer Schriftsteller und Kulturschaffender in Österreich ›Aleksandër Moisiu‹. Er veröffentlichte bisher funf Gedichtbände und einen Roman in albanischer Sprache.

 

Boško Tomašević (Bulgarien/Österreich) geb. 1947, lebt als freier Schriftsteller in Wien. Intensive Lehrtätigkeit als Universitätsdozent und zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen zu Lyrik, Prosa und Literaturtheorie. Mitglied des französischen und österreichischen P.E.N wie auch Société des Gens de Lettres de France. Carlos Vitale (Argentina/Spain) has a degree in Spanish Literature and Italian Literature. His books of poetry include Unidad de lugar, Descortesía del suicida, Cuaderno de l'Escala / Quadern de l'Escala, Fuera de casa, El poeta más crítico y otros poetas italianos and Duermevela. He has also translated many Italian and Catalan poets into Spanish. He has participated en festivals, readings and poetry events in Argentina, Spain, Venezuela, Armenia, etc. In 2015 he won the “VI Premio José Luis Giménez-Frontín” prize for his contribution to bringing together diverse cultures. He lives in Barcelona.

 

Carol Yalcinkaya-Ferris (USA/Turkey) is now a retired English-language instructor who spent many years teaching at colleges in the USA and at many universities in Istanbul (Bosporus University, Koç University, Okan- and Piri Reis University). She lives and writes in Istanbul and San Diego.

 

Chandra Singh Gurung (Baharain/Nepal) is a Bahrain based Nepali poet, who writes in his native language Nepali. His first collection of poems was published in 2007, and his works have appeared in many print and online magazines worldwide.He had also organized many literary events in Nepal, including the event of Palestinian poet Ashraf Fayadh in 2016. Fayad was later sentenced to death for apostasy by the government of Saudi Arabia. He was accused of promoting atheism in his work.Chandra Gurung’s poetry depicts the politico-socio-economic conditions of his place.

 

Cheran Rudhramoorthy (Sri Lanka/Canada) Dr. R. Cheran is Tamil Canadian academic, poet, playwright and journalist. He is a professor at the University of Windsor in Canada. He has authored over fifteen books in Tamil, and his work has been translated into twenty languages. Several volumes of his work have been published in English translation of Burning (Arc Publications, UK). He has performed his poetry at various International Writers’ festivals in the United Kingdom, Singapore, the US, Indonesia, India, Sweden, the Netherlands, Canada, Ramallah, West Bank, Dubai and Mexico. His plays in English language have been produced and performed in Toronto, Canada, New York, Chicago and New Jersey in the US. Singapore’s modern dance group Chowk has produced and performed a dance play based on his poems titled “The Second Sunrise”.

 

Corneliu Balan (Romania/Canada) was born in Bucharest in 1972 and he emigrated to Canada in 1997. He has three novels to his credit: Escroc S.R.L (2014, ed. Humanitas), Liftul (2019, ed. Humanitas) and the last one, partly based on his military service experience, Ultima Armată, to be soon published. He has over two hundred short stories, editorials, translations (from English), book and movie reviews, in a literary Romanian online journal (liternautica.com).

 

Dalila Hiaoui (Morocco/Italy) is an poet-author, professor of the arab language and culture, and she works for the United Nations in Rome. Since 2013, she organizes and runs the bilingual literary salon, “J’nanArgana” (paradisef Argan) in Italy and other countries, and she’s the secretary assistant of the Arab world in the WORLD POETRY MOVEMENT.  She has had 38 books published as author and co-author (poems, stories, and a theatrical “pièce”, and a three volume manual in Arabic with the International University Uninettuno). Her poems in Arabic, her mother tongue, have been translated in Italian, English, Classical Chinese (Mandarin), Albanian, Serb, Bangal, Spanish, Nepali, Berber and a few texts are translated into French.

 

Daria Bukal (Polen/Deutschland) 1975 in Polen geboren und lebt seit 2001 in Deutschland. Sie ist Germanistin und leitet Berufssprachkurse für Geflüchtete. Bei ihrer Arbeit hat sie mit Menschen aus aller Welt zu tun. In ihren Gedichten beschäftigt sie sich mit meinen Lebenserfahrungen, Gedanken und Gefühlen.

 

Daryoush Sadeghi (Iran/Österreich) geb. 1956, Teheran kam 1996 nach Österreich und studierte an der TU Wien. Sadeghi war etwa fünfundzwanzig Jahre in der Softwareentwicklung als Techniker und Trainer im internationalen Bereich tätig, davon zwanzig Jahre bei Siemens Österreich. Er schreibt seit jeher Kurzgeschichten, Science-Fiction und meist Nonfiction. Den meisten dieser Geschichten liegen tatsächliche Ereignisse zugrunde. Er veröffentlicht sie durch die verschiedensten Kanäle: in kulturellen Zirkeln, in der Familie oder unter Freunden. In den letzten Jahren übersetzte er mehrere historische Werke aus dem Deutschen ins Persische. Eine seiner Lieblingsbeschäftigungen ist Unterrichten und dies nicht nur in seinem Fachbereich. Er arbeitet derzeit als Trainer für Mathematik und Physik in Wien.

 

 

Deepa Parvathy Sankar (India/Maldives) is a bilingual writer from Kollam, Kerala, India, now residing in Maldives where she works as a teacher at the Ministry of Education, Republic of Maldives. She writes short stories, poems and articles both in Malayalam and English. Her poems and short stories have been published in two anthologies and in several books and magazines in both the languages. She has also worked as an editor of an anthology published in Malayalam.

 

Durga Prasad Panda (India) is an accomplished bilingual poet and critic in English and Odia, his poems have been anthologized thrice in British Council’s ‘Poetry India’ and have been included in the Little Magazine’s ‘India In Verse’, ’99 words’. Some of them have been translated into Hindi, Bengali and Kannada. ‘Unreal City and other Poems’ is his English translation of Odia poet J.P. Das’s poetry. He also has three collections of poems and a book of ‘absurd’ short stories in Odia titled ‘Dhuaan.

 

Dušan Savić (Serbien/Österreich) wurde in Banja Luka geboren. Seine Poesie und Prosa sind in mehreren literarischen Zeitschriften und Anthologien auf Deutsch, Serbisch, Polnisch und Tschechisch erschienen. Der Autor ist auch als Übersetzer tätig. Der Autor ist Mitglied der Serbischen Gesellschaft der Schriftsteller Vojvodina, des Vereins der Schriftsteller der Republika Srpska und des österreichischen PEN-Clubs. Er lebt und schafft in Wien und Sombor.

Elif Sezen (Turkey/Australia) was born in Melbourne/Australia in 1981, grew up in Australia and in Izmir, Turkey. Also an interdisciplinary visual artist, she writes original poetry mostly in English and in Turkish. In 2014 she published a Turkish translation of Ilya Kaminsky’s acclaimed book Dancing in Odessa; her own first work in Turkish, an experimental mix of poetry and prose Gece Düşüşü (‘Fall.Night.’) was published in 2012. Her collection of poems Universal Mother was published by GloriaSMH Press (2016), she also published a chapbook titled The Dervish with Wings in early 2017. Elif’s most recent collection of poems A Little Book of Unspoken History was published by Puncher & Wattmann (2018). She holds a PhD in Fine Arts from Monash University.

 

Elisabeth Frischauf (Österreich/USA) wuchs in der Upper West Side von Manhattan, New York auf. Elisabeth Frischaufs Mutter, die Psychoanalytikerin Else Frishauf (geb. Pappenheim, 1911 – 2009) floh 1938 vor den Nazis aus Wien über das Mandatsgebiet Palästina in die USA. Den ebenfalls aus Wien emigrierten Stephan H. Frischauf (Stephen H. Frishauf,1920 – 2011) kannte sie von Kindheit an. Im Exil in den USA begegneten sich Elisabeth Frischaufs Eltern wieder und heirateten 1946. Elisabeth Frischauf, ausgebildete Fachärztin für Psychiatrie in New York, ist seit über 40 Jahren künstlerisch aktiv und seit über einem Jahrzehnt ausschließlich als Künstlerin tätig. Sie arbeitet mit unterschiedlichen Materialien und in diversen Medien, schafft Keramiken, Aquarelle, Collagen, Mobiles und Installationen. 2022 erschien Elisabeth Frischaufs zweisprachige Gedichtband „They Clasp My Hand. Die meine Hand ergreifen.“, aus dem amerikanischen Englisch von Ernst Karner, im Verlag der Theodor Kramer Gesellschaft.

 

 

Elizabeth Grech (Malta/France) is a poet and translator and she works with various NGOs, cultural and artistic organisations. She has translated several contemporary Maltese poets and writers into French. Many of her translations have been published in book form and in literary journals. Her own poetry has appeared in a number of collections and reviews in different languages (English, Italian, Albanian and Greek). Her first poetry collection “bejn baħar u baħar” was published by Merlin Publishers (Malta) in February 2019. The Italian translation “Terre sospese” by Virginia Monteforte and Massimo Barilla was published by Capire Edizioni (Forlì, Italy) in August 2019.

 

Elsye Suquilanda (Deutschland/Ecuador) ist eine Performance-Dichterin, autodidaktische Sängerin. Sie ist Tierschutzaktivistin und Mitbegründerin der hundesophischen Bewegung “Chichoismo” und sie hat an diversen Literatur-, Film- und Kunstfestivals in Lateinamerika, Europa und den USA teilgenommen. Elsye ist Autorin von acht Gedichtbänden, Sie schreibt Drehbüchern für Film- und Theater. Ihre Werke sind insEnglische, Französische, Japanische, Portugiesische, Finnische und Shuar (indigene ecuadorianische Amazonasethnie) übersetzt.

Enesa Mahmić (Bosnia and Herzegovina/Slovenia) was born in 1989. She is a travel writer, an member of PEN Center. She published 4 poetry collections. Her poems have been translated into English, German, Italian, Turkish, Slovenian, Albanian and Hungarian- included in several anthologies: Social Justice and Intersectional Feminism, University of Victoria (CANADA), Spread poetry, not fear (SLOVENIA), QUEEN Global voices of 21th century female Poets (INDIA), Writing Politics and Knowledge Production (ZIMBABWE), Mosztári esők (HUNGARY) , Wood poets (CROATIA), World for peace, World Institute for Peace (NIGERIA), Le Voci della poesia (ITALY) and more. She won international awards for literature: Gold medal Neighbour of your shore 2017 as best immigrant poetry, Ratković's Evenings of Poetry 2016 and Aladin Lukač Award 2016 for best debut book.

 

Erkan Osmanović (Serbien/Österreich) geb. 1988 in Tutin/Serbien, aufgewachsen in Wien. Er ist Lektor des Österreichischen Austauschdienstes am Institut für Germanistik, Nordistik und Nederlandistik der Philosophischen Fakultät der Masaryk Universität Brno Außerdem er ist Mitarbeiter der Österreichischen Gesellschaft für Literatur, Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter der Österreich-Bibliothek Brno. Mitarbeiter der Zeitschrift wespennest. Buchrezensent beim Buchmagazin des Literaturhauses Wien. Er hat Deutschen Philologie (BA) und Austrian Studies (MA) an der Universität Wien Studiert, seine Forschungsschwerpunkte sind Österreichische Literatur des 20. und 21. Jahrhunderts; Poetologie des Volksstücks; Suizid & Literatur.

 

Eva Surma (Österreich) lebt in der Südsteiermark und arbeitet seit 1991 als Sprachtrainerin für Deutsch als Fremdsprache. 2005 hat sie mit einer Kollegin zusammen den feministischen verein-freiraum und 2007 die Frauenberatungsstelle in Leibnitz gegründet. Seit mehr als zehn Jahren ist sie Mitglied des Literaturkreis Lebring. Sie schreibt Lyrik und Prosa auf Deutsch und Italienisch. „Die Farbe sieben“ und „Wir, bewegende Steine“ enthalten Arbeiten von ihr in gebundener Form. Eva Surma schreibt auch für tagesaktuelle Medien und ihren Blog www.evasurma.eu. Einige ihrer Werke wurden bei italienischen, österreichischen und kroatischen Literaturwettbewerben prämiert. Zweimal monatlich präsentiert sie zusammen mit ihrem Hamburger Kollegen „Die Feministin in Leibnitz und der Piefke in Triest“, eine multikulturelle Radioshow im Freien Radio Salzkammergut. Aktuell arbeitet sie im Auftrag des Landes Steiermark am Steirerinnen Kabarett, das sich mit der Situation von Frauen auf dem regionalen Arbeitsmarkt auseinandersetzt.

 

Farah Ghuznavi (Bangladesh/UK) is a Bangladeshi writer, development worker, journalist and translator. She studied at the London School of Economics. Ghuznavi has worked for the Grameen Bank, the United Nations Development Programme, Her story "Judgement Day" was highly commended at the 2010 Commonwealth Short Story Competition. Her story "Getting There" placed second in the short story competition of the Oxford Gender Equality Festival. Her stories have appeared in a number of anthologies and literary magazines published in the United States, the United Kingdom, Singapore and Bangladesh. She was editor for the Lifelines anthology published in India. A collection of her stories Fragments of Riversong was published in 2013. Ghuznavi writes her stories in English.

 

Faranak Mostofy (Iran/Austria) studied psychology and, later in her academic career, psychology and physics and learned acting scripting andstorytelling and took part in several plays, shorts and feature films. A poetand fiction writer, she published a collection of short stories in Iran in2010. Mostofy migrated to Austria in 2011 and held innovative criticismsessions in the House of Cultural Scientists in Vienna for two years. In thecurrent year, she published Call of Dreams, a trilogy on the autobiographcal  theme.

 

Firas Sulaiman (Syria/USA) is a Syrian poet with multiple publications in Arabic including several volumes of poetry, two collections in English (Forgetting and Her Mirror is an Unarmed Hunter), and a volume in Spanish. He has also published a collection of short stories, a book of aphorisms, experimental fiction and numerous articles. In addition to appearing in several anthologies, Firas’ work has been featured in numerous literary magazines as well as having been translated into many languages. He currently lives with his wife in New York.

Francisca Ricinski (Rumänien/Deutschland) geboren in Rumänien, lebt seit 1980 in Rheinland. Mitglied im Verband deutscher Schriftsteller und des PEN. Mitheraugeberin der Literaturzeitschrift „Dichtungring“ (Bonn). Seit 2004 leitende Redakteurin der Literaturzeitschrift „Matrix“, Ludwisburg. Schreibt Lyrik, Kurzprosa, Theaterstücke, Kinderliteratur, Essais, Interviews, Liedertexte etc. Zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen. Gaurav Monga (India) is a writer and teacher originally from New Delhi. He has 7 books to his credit. His work has appeared in numerous literary magazines, including B O D Y, Fanzine, Juked, Tammy Journal, Spurl Editions, Queen Mob's Teahouse, Birkensnake amongst others. He is a regular contributor to Outlook India. He teaches English, German, literature, epistemology and creative writing, and has taught at schools and universities in India, Nepal, Switzerland, Dubai and the Czech Republic. He is currently translating selected works of Robert Walser, Peter Bichsel from German to English and Urdu. He is a member of an international art and lifestyle movement called Neo-Decadence. His current literary work looks at the relationship between fashion and literature.

Geetha Sukumaran (India/Canada) is a doctoral student in Humanities at York University, Toronto. Her current research focuses on Tamil women's writings from Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu that connect culinary practices with war trauma, memory, familial and caste oppression. She has published two books in Tamil: Tharkolaikku parakkum panithuli (Tamil translation of Sylvia Plath's poems, 2013), and her own poems, Otrai pakadaiyil enchum nampikkai. Her English translation of Ahilan's poetry titled, Then There Were No Witnesses, was published by Mawenzi House, Toronto (2018). She is the recipient of the SPARROW R Thyagarajan award for her poetry.

 

Gerhard Ruiss, (Österreich) ist Schriftsetzer, Schriftsteller, Musiker, Literaturfunktionär. Seine Werke sind mehrfach ausgezeichnet. Seit 1979 ist er Vorstandsmitglied der IG Autorinnen Autoren, 1982 übernahm er die Funktion des Geschäftsführers. 1998 wurde er Mitglied der österreichischen UNESCO-Kommission. Zudem ist er Gründungsmitglied des Unabhängigen Literaturhauses Niederösterreich. Gerhard Ruiss setzte sich als Geschäftsführer der IG Autorinnen Autoren über Jahrzehnte für verschiedenste Anliegen dieser Berufsgruppe wie etwa die Künstlersozialversicherung ein. Er ist Sprecher der österreichischen Initiative „Kunst hat Recht“, die sich für die vergütete Nutzung kreativer Werke auch in digitalen Medien einsetzt. Im Zusammenhang mit diesem berufspolitischen Engagement bekam er von der österreichischen Netz-Community den als Satire verstandenen „Wolfgang Lorenz Gedenkpreis für internetfreie Minuten“ verliehen.

 

Gopal Lahiri (India) is a bilingual poet, critic, editor, writer and translator with 29 books published, including eight solo/jointly edited books. His poetry is also published across various anthologies as well as in eminent journals of India and abroad. His poems are translated in 16 languages. He has been nominated for Pushcart Prize for poetry in 2021. He is the recipient of the Poet of the Year Award in Destiny Poets, UK, 2016, Setu Excellence Award, 2020, Pittsburgh, US and Indology Life-Time Achievement award, West Bengal, India. His latest collection of poems ‘Alleys are Filled with Future Alphabets.’ has received Ukiyoto Award.

 

Gulnaz Kausar (Pakistan/U.K.) is an “accomplished and critically acclaimed” poet writing in Urdu. She did her masters in English as well as in Urdu literatures and earned a degree in law. Subsequently, she worked in Research & Publications Department of National College of Arts, Lahore and also taught world literature at Govt. College Lahore. Her first poetry collection: “Khwaab Ki Hatheli Par” (On the Palm of Dream), appeared in 2012. The second one is soon to be published.

Hamed Abboud (Syrien/Österreich) Geboren in Deir Ez-Zor, Syrien. Ende 2012 Flucht aus Syrien, nach Zwischenstationen in Ägypten, Dubai und der Türkei kam er Ende 2014 in Österreich an. Öffentliche Leseveranstaltungen seit 2005 in Syrien und Ägypten, seit Ende 2015 in der Schweiz, in Deutschland und Österreich. Regelmäßige Veröffentlichungen von Texten in zahlreichen Zeitungen und Zeitschriften seit 2005 in Syrien und im Mittleren Osten. 2012 Veröffentlichung des ersten Gedichtbands “Der Regen der ersten Wolke” im Verlag Arwad Publishers International Inc. 2015 Nominierung für und Verleihung des Jean-Jacques-Rousseau-Stipendiums der Akademie Schloss Solitude, Stuttgart in Deutschland. 2017 Veröffentlichung des zweiten Werks “Der Tod backt einen Geburtstagskuchen” in arabischer und deutscher Sprache im schweizer Verlag pudelundpinscher. Nominiert für den renommierten "Internationalen Literaturpreis", der vom Berliner "Haus der Kulturen der Welt" vergeben ist. Die Texte sind Arabisch in der Originalsprache und wurden von Larissa Bender aus Köln auf Deutsch übersetzt.

 

Hamed Khawary (Afganistan/Netherlands) was born and brought up in Afganistan. He works as a human rights officer for UNO. In addition to his own writing he translate Dari poetry to English. He has written a number of poems in Dari and is popular writers among the younger generation of Afganistan.

 

Hamdi Ismail Meça (Albanien/Italy) is a poet, prose writer, essayist, scholar. A multilevel author of academic nature in creativity, He is appreciated at home and abroad, he is a winner of prizes, medals, honorary titles and diplomas, and he was elected on various international cultural boards. His poems have been translated into several languages and distributed to different parts of the world. He was born on September 6, 1952, in the famous Albanian city of Kruja. He has an MS in Albanian Language and Literature from the University of Shkodra. Besides, he has been qualified and certified in humanities, psychology, linguistics, public administration, and tourism. He worked mainly as a professor of literature.

 

H. Masud Taj (Indien/Kanada) wurde 1956 in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh geboren. Er wurde in Bombay und in Panchgani (an der gleichen Schule wie Manohar Shetty) erzogen. Er rezitiert Gedichte, indem er in Folge die Rezitation eine Rückkehr zu einer frühen Urdu-Tradition hört; und er hat erst kürzlich begonnen, seine Gedichte in gedruckter Form zu sammeln. Er lebt in Ottawa und arbeitet als Architekt und Kalligraph. Taj unterrichtet an der Carleton University School of Architecture.

 

Hanna Wehbeh (Syrien/Österreich) ist ein arabischer Dichter und Mitglied des Pen-Clubs Österreich mit einem Diplom in Rechtswissenschaft von der Damaskus Universität. Seine Erfahrung umfasst zwei und halb Jahre lange Arbeit im Kanadischen Konsulat in Damaskus, sowie einer drei und halb jährigen Praxiserfahrung im Jus-Bereich. Seine Weiterbildung bezieht sich mehreren Sprachen, Teilnahmen an Seminaren und Lesungen, sowie Vorträge an Dichterlesungen und Vortragsabenden. 2013 flüchtete er von Syrien nach Österreich, integrierte sich in die Gesellschaft und betätigte sich als Integrationsreferent beim Magistrat Wien und ist als Vollzeit-Rechtsberater für Geflüchtete Menschen in Österreich zuständig. 2016 publizierte er seine ersten übersetzten Werke und agiert als Mitbegründer der Plattform „Literatur Grenzenlos“ für SchriftstellerInnen mit Migrationshintergrund.

 

Hassan Alnawwab (Iraq/Australia) is a poet and journalist with many collection of poetry in Arabic to his credit. His poetry has been published in a number of magazines and anthologies in Arabic speaking countries. He has won many prizes for his writing and journalistic activities. He is living since 2002 in Australia as a refugee.

 

Dr. Helga Neumayer (Österreich) studierte Ethnologie an der Universität Wien. Sie arbeitete eineinhalb Jahrzehnte als Redakteurin und Journalistin und lebt heute als Autorin, Schreibtrainerin und mehrsprachige Radiomacherin in Wien und Kritzendorf a/d Donau.

 

Helmuth A. Niederle (Österreich) ist Schriftsteller, Übersetzer, Präsident des Österreichischen PEN-Clubs. Von 1994 bis Ende 2011 war er stellvertretender Leiter der ÖGL und zeichnete für die Programmgestaltung verantwortlich. Niederle trat 1984 dem Literaturkreis Podium, dem Österreichischen Schriftstellerverband sowie dem Österreichischen PEN-Club bei. Seit 2000 fungiert er als Beauftragter des Writers in Prison Committee des PEN und setzt sich als Funktionär, Herausgeber und Vortragender für politisch unterdrückte Schriftsteller ein. 2011 brachte er beispielsweise die Anthologie “Von der Freiheit des Schreibens“ heraus, die dem deutschsprachigen Lesepublikum Texte verfolgter Autorinnen und Autoren vorstellt und auf die weltweite Achtung der Menschenrechte pocht. Zum Teil steht auch Niederles Übersetzungsarbeit in Zusammenhang mit dem Engagement für verfolgte Schriftsteller, jedenfalls aber zeugt sie von seinem ethnologischen Interesse im Sinne des Postkolonialismus. Als Herausgeber förderte Niederle auch verstärkt die österreichische Gegenwartsliteratur.

 

Hila Amit Abas (Israel/Germany) is an award-winning author. She was born in Israel in 1985 to a Jewish family with Iranian-Syrian ethnic origins. She studied creative writing at the Tel -Aviv University and holds a PhD in the field of Gender Studies from SOAS, University of London. Hila Amit’s fiction appeared in Lilith, Jalta, Emrys Journal & The Washington Square Review. Her story, 'The Kinneret', was recently selected for the Sue Lile Inman Fiction Prize. She received fellowships from The Vermont Studio Center and the McDowell Colony. Her short stories collection, Moving On From Bliss (Tel-Aviv: Am Oved, 2016), was awarded the Israeli Ministry of Culture Prize for Debut Authors, and was recently selected as one of the 10 best literary works in Hebrew for the years 2010-2020. Her non-fiction book, A Queer Way Out – The Politics of Queer Emigration from Israel (Albany: SUNY, 2018) was awarded the AMEWS (Association of Middle East Women's Studies) Book Award

 

Hilà Lahav (Israel/Germany) was born in Zikhron Ya’akov, Israel, now she lives in Berlinas a musician and a poet.Lahav has studied recorders at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, and has been performing as a recorder player and a Nay/Ney (Arabic reed flute) player as a soloist and in various ensembles – both chamber and orchestral, among which the Young Arab-Jewish orchestra, the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra and others, Mainly focusing on Historically-informed performances of both classical Middle-Eastern Music, Early Music and contemporary music. She is collaborating with musicians and artists of various genres and media, composing, performing and consulting on musical and performative themes, alongside her educational work, which includes instrumental lessons, ensemble leading and workshops with children and adults.

 

Hussain Abid (Pakistan/Deutschland) ist Dichter, Komponist und Sänger Hussain Abid wurde in Pakistan geboren und lebt mit seiner Violinistin Frau und drei Kindern in Deutschland. Seine Gedichtbände '' Utri Konjain'' (Die Landung Der Kraniche), '' Dhundhla'ay Din Ki Hidat'' ( Die Hitze Des Benebelten Tages) und '' Behtay Aks Ka Bulawa'' ( Der Ruf des Wegfließenden Spiegelbilds) ernten große Anerkennung von den Lesern und Kritikern. Im Zusammenarbeit mit zwei Dichterkollegen produzierte er zwei weitere Gedichtbände; '' Qehqaha Insan Nay Ejad Kia'' (Das Gelächter Wurde Von Mensch Erfunden) und ''Kaghaz Pe Bani Dhoop'' (Auf Papier Gemalter Sonnenschein). Hussain Abid leitet das Ensemble '' Saranga'', die erste deutsche Musikgruppe die zweisprachig, Urdu und Deutsch, konzertiert. Das DebutAlbum vom Saranga ''Talking to The River'' wurde im 2010 veröffentlicht.

 

Hussein Habasch (Kurdistan/Germany): He is a poet from Afrin. He  lives in Bonn-Germany.He writes in Kurdish and Arabic. Some of his poems were translated to many languages such as; English, German, Spanish, French, Chinese, Turkish, Persian, Albanian, Uzbek, Russian, Italian, Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Hungarian, Macedonian, Serbian and Romanian. A selection of his poems have been published in more than an international poetic anthology He has more than ten books to his credit. He has participated in many international festivals of poetry around the world.

 

Hussein Khadour (Austria/Syria) is a theatrical artist and author. born in 1991. He is living e in Austria since November 2019. In 2012 he joined Higher Institute for Dramatic Arts Dance Department, Damascus, Syria and "InDignity" at EUROPEAN FORUM ALPBACH 2015. Two stories of him was published in Literature Magazine Beirut.

 

Hüseyin Simsek (Türkei/Österreich) Hüseyin Simsek, geboren 1962 im Osten der Türkei, seit 1998 in Wien. Schriftsteller, Dichter, Journalist. Öneri/Vorschlag ist nicht die einzige Zeitschrift, die in deutscher und türkischer Sprache erscheint, gilt jedoch als die einzige nicht konservative. Hüseyin Simsek schreibt auf türkisch, kurdisch und deutsch. In der Türkei erschienen drei Romane und ein Lyrikband, in Österreich deutsche Texte in Anthologien und ein Band mit Gedichten.

 

Hongri Yuan (China) is a Chinese poet and philosopher. His work has been published in journals and magazines internationally in UK, USA, India, Mexico, New Zealand, Canada and Nigeria. He has authored a number long poems including Platinum City, The City of Gold, Golden Paradise, Gold Sun and Golden Giant. The theme of his work is the exploration about human prehistoric civilization and future civilization.

 

 

Imèn Moussa (Tunisia/France) was born in the city of Bizerte in Tunisia on October 6, 1987. After studying literature, language and French civilization at the Higher Institute of Languages of Tunis, she moved to Paris where she focuses her research work on the situation of women in the contemporary Maghreb and engages in associations to help refugees and asylum seekers.

 

Indran Amirthanayagam (Sri Lanka/USA) writes in English, Spanish, French, Portuguese and Haitian Creole. He has published seventeen poetry collections thus far, including the about-to-be released The Migrant States , Coconuts on Mars, En busca de posada and Paolo 9. The Elephants of Reckoningwon the 1994 Paterson Prize in the United States. He directs Poetry at the Port, a monthly spoken word series restaurant in Silver Spring Maryland. He serves on the Board of Directors of DC-ALT, an association of literary translators. He writes a weekly column featuring poems for the newspaper Haiti en Marche. Amirthanayagam is a 2020 grantee in poetry from the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, the New York Foundation for the Arts, The US/Mexico Fund for Culture and the Macdowell Colony. His poem Juarez won the Juegos Florales of Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico in 2005.

 

Ines Abassi (Tunisia/UAE) is a Tunisian poet, children`s writer , translator and novelistShe has published three volumes of poetry. Two books of which have received regional literary awards.She also spent a six-month residency in Seoul and wrote Tales of the Korean Scheherezade out of that experience. Her work has been published in numerous outlets. Some of her poems ad short stories were translated into English, French, Korean, Danish and Swedish.She was the executive publisher for Dar Anahla Saghira (the little bee house) , 2014-2016 and published 20 children books.

 

Isabel del Rio (Spain/UK) is a bilingual writer, linguist and publisher living in London. She was born in Madrid, but has spent most of her life in the UK. She has published fiction and poetry in both English and Spanish, and is an established performance poet.

 

Ishraga Mustafa Hamid (Sudan/Österreich) ist Autorin, Übersetzerin und freie Journalistin aus dem Sudan. Sie lebt seit 1993 in Wien und hat ihr Studium der Publizistik und Politikwissenschaft mit einem Doktorat 2006 abgeschlossen. Hamid engagiert sich in der Arbeit für MigrantInnen, vor allem in der „Schwarzen, MigrantInnen-Forschung“. Texte von ihr sind in mehreren Anthologien erschienen, z.B.: „Die Fremde in mir“ (1999), „Die Sprache des Widerstandes“ (2000), „Eure Sprache ist nicht meine Sprache“ (2002) und „Man fragt mich, ob ich bin“ (2009). Hamid veröffentlichte zuletzt „Gesichter der Donau“ (2014) und gab „Symphonie der Rub al-Chali“, eine Sammlung zeitgenössischer arabischer Gedichte (2015)heraus. Sie ist Beauftragte für arabische Literatur im Österreichischen PEN Club und kämpft gegen die „Grenzen.

 

Izaskun Gracia Quintana (Spanien/Deutschland) studierte Baskische Philologie. Sie ist als freiberufliche Übersetzerin, Lektorin und Grafikdesignerin tätig und sie schreibt Artikel sowie Literaturkritik für diverse Medien. Sie war Lektorin und Mitbegründerin des Masmédula Poesie Verlags. Sie schreibt Gedichte und Prosa auf Spanisch und auf Baskisch. Sie veröffentlichte die Gedichtesammlungen fuegos fatuos (2003), eleak eta beleak (2007), saco de humos (2010), ártica / artikoa (2012), vacuus (2016), despertar lloviendo (2017) und Ohe hutsetan (2018), sowie das Kurzgeschichtenbuch Crónicas del encierro (2016), nominiert für den Euskadi Literaturpreis 2017.

 

Itamar Orlev (Israel/Germany) was born in Jerusalem. He has published short stories in prominent Israeli literary magazines, such as Moznaim, Massmerim and Mitaam. His script for a play won first prize at the annual Beit Lessin Theatre Open Stage Festival, while his debut novel, Bandit, was awarded the 2015 Sapir Prize for First Novel. He is a graduate of the Scriptwriting Program at Sam Spiegel Film School in Jerusalem and earned a BA in History at Tel Aviv University. He works as an editor and ghostwriter and lives in Berlin with his wife and two sons.

 

Jadranka Klabučar Gros (Österreich/Kroatien) wurde in Zagreb, Kroatien geboren, wo sie die Volksschule, das Sprachgymnasium und die Wirtschaftsuniversität absolviert hat. Seit  1990 lebt und schafft sie in Wien, Österreich. Schreibt Poesie, sowie Kurzgeschichten. Ausgewählte Gedichte wurden in mehr als 30 Gedichtesammlungen und drei Anthologien veröffentlicht: „Süd-Ost Wind“  „Neue Österreichische Lyrik - und kein Wort Deutsch“ (Haymon Verlag) sowie „Wir, bewegende Steine“.Ihre Gedichte erschienen in kroatischer Sprache in zwei Autoren Büchern „ Herbst in meinem Haar“ (2010.),  „Lieben ist ein Dauerzeitwort“ (2013.) und in einer zweisprachigen  Gedichtesammlung „Ausgewählte Gedichte-Selected Poems“ (2015.):Im Jahr 2005 erhielt sie den zweiten Preis beim „Zeljka Boc Liebesgedichte“ Wettbewerb in Kroatien sowie  mehrere Auszeichnungen.

 

Jameel urRahman (Pakistan/United Kingdom) is an eminent Pakistani poet. He was born in Lahore, Pakistan and presently living in United Kingdom. He has authored more than a dozen books on literature, including  several poetry collections and is well known for his unique vision and broad horizon in modern Urdu verse.

 

 

Jan Christian Sørensen (Denmark/Germany) works as a as a teacher and mentor. have He is the author of two book, a novel from 2010 and a poem-collection. Presently he is working on a new novel and poem collection. He says Poetry has a special meaning for me and this is where I really feel at home. He also writes poems for website and blogs.

 

Jelena Semjonowa-Herzog (Belarus/ Österreich), in Minsk geboren, ist Lyrikerin, Schriftstellerin, Übersetzerin für Russisch und Belarussisch, Literaturwissenschaftlerin und Lehrerin. Sie studierte Übersetzen und Dolmetschen an der Minsker Staatlichen Linguistischen Universität und promovierte an der Universität Wien. Sie schreibt auf Russisch, Belarussisch und Deutsch. 2006 erschien in Minsk ihr Lyrikband „Die Tropfen des Lichtes“. Sie übersetzt Lyrik und Prosa. Zuletzt erschienen in ihrer russischen Übersetzung zwei Werke von Lene Mayer-Skumanz: der Jugendroman „Hanniel. Ein Engel auf Erden“ (Minsk 2020) und das Buch „Das Weihnachtsgeheimnis“ (Minsk 2021; als Online-Projekt).  Sie ist Vorstandsmitglied der IG Übersetzerinnen Übersetzer, der Dokumentationsstelle für ost- und mitteleuropäische Literatur und von UNIVERSITAS Austria, Mitglied der Literar-Mechana, des Vereins „I GEH LESEN“, des Verbands belarussischer Schriftsteller, Mitglied im PEN Austria etc. Seit 2006 lebt und arbeitet sie in Wien.

 

Jihad al-Din Ramadan (Syrien/Österreich) geboren 1964 in Aleppo. Er studierte und arbeitete bis Ende 2012 als Anwalt. Er lebt seit vier Jahren als „ Flüchtling“ in Wien. Er hat einige Kurzgeschichten und Texte auf einer Reihe von Websites und Plattformen für elektronische Publikationen, in Zeitungen und Zeitschriften veröffentlicht, von denen einige ins Englische, Spanische und Deutsche übersetzt wurden.

 

Jonaki Ray (India) was educated in India (Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur) and the USA (University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign). After a short stint as a software engineer, she decided to return to her first love, writing. She is a Pushcart and Forward Prize for Best Single Poem nominee. Her work has been published in Poetry, The Rumpus, Southword Journal, Cha, So to Speak Journal, Lunch Ticket, Indian Literature (India’s National Academy of Letters), and elsewhere.

Jose Varghese (India/Saudi Arabia) is a bilingual writer/editor/translator from India. He is the founder and chief editor of Lakeview International Journal of Literature and Arts. He is the author of the books Silver Painted Gandhi and Other Poems (2008) and Silent Woman and Other Stories (forthcoming). His poems and short stories have appeared in journals/anthologies like The Salt Anthology of New Writing 2013, Unthology 5, The River Muse, Chandrabhaga, Kavya Bharati, Postcolonial Text , Dusun and Spilling Cocoa Over Martin Amis. He is a contributing writer for Panorama: The Journal of Intelligent Travel and is in the advisory board of Mascara Literary Review. He was the winner of The River Muse 2013 Spring Poetry Contest, a runner up in the Salt Flash Fiction Prize 2013, and a second prize winner in the Wordweavers Flash Fiction Prize 2012. He was shortlisted in Hourglass Short Story Contest and was commended in Gregory O'Donoghue International Poetry Prize 2014.

 

Kalpna Singh-Chitnis (India/USA) is an Indian American poet, writer, and Editor-in-Chief of Life and Legends. Her poems, essays, and translations have appeared in notable journals like World Literature Today, California Quarterly, Indian Literature, Pirene's Fountain, and others. She has published four poetry collections, and her work has been translated into many languages. Her full-length poetry collection, Bare Soul, was awarded the 2017 Naji Naaman Literary Prize for Creativity. Her poems and translations have been included in several anthologies. The most recent among them are 100 Great Indian Poems (Bloomsbury, India), Unseen (Skylark Publications, UK), Collateral Damage, and Carrying the Branch Poets in Search of Peace (Glass Lyre Press, USA). Kalpna Singh-Chitnis participated in the "Silk Routes" project of the International Writing Program at the University of Iowa from 2014-2016. She has read her works at Sahitya Akademi, India's highest academy of letters, Poets & Writers, and AWP. A former lecturer of Political Science, Kalpna Singh-Chitnis holds a degree in Film Directing from the New York Film Academy and works as an independent filmmaker in Hollywood.

 

Kári Tulinius (Iceland/Finland) is a poet and novelist from Iceland. His first novel, Píslarvottar án hæfileika, was published by Forlagið in 2010. He co-founded the chapbook series Meðgönguljóð, which has released 20 poetry chapbooks since 2012. He co-wrote a book of poems with Valgerður Þóroddsdóttir, published in 2012, and wrote a solo book of poems which came out in 2015. His new novel, Móðurhugur, was published by Forlagið in February 2017. He splits his time between Reykjavík and Helsinki.

 

Kemal Göksu (Türkei/Österreich) wurde in 2002, Wien geboren und aufgewachsen in Wien. Er schreibt Kurzgeschichten.

 

Khalil Mohammad (Syrien/Österreich) Seit seiner Flucht nach Österreich beschäftigt sich Khalil Mohammad sehr viel mit der deutschen Sprache und experimentiert mit unterschiedlichen Textformen. 2014 hat er seinen ersten Gedichtband veröffentlicht und seit dem einige Lesungen in Wien gehalten. Das Stück „Flüchtling im Wunderland“ ist sein Theater-Debut. Er wurde während seinem Aufenthalt in Traiskirchen dazu inspiriert, weshalb viele Teile des Stückes stark autobiographische Züge aufweisen. Außerdem veröffentlicht er 2018 den Gedichtband auf Arabisch „Mord ist eine Beleidigung für den Tod“.

 

Khancho ‘Khanev’ Kojouharov (Bulgaria/UK) is an award-winning writer, investigating journalist and translator. His novels, stories, analyses, and scientific papers are published in Bulgarian, English, French, German, Polish, Russian and Ukrainian. Kojouharov has translated some 60 books from English, covering a wide range of topics: physics, astrophysics and cosmology; philosophy and religion; sociology, psychology and psychoanalysis, history and biographies; economics and political science; memory and IQ tests; crime, spy and SF novels. He is a member of International Association of Crime Writers, Union of Bulgarian Writers, and Union of Bulgarian Journalists.

 

Kholoud Charaf (Syrien/ österreich) geboren 1981 in Al-Mojaimr, Syrien, lebt in Berlin. Sie ist Dichterin, Kunstkritikerin, Publizistin und Aktivistin. In ihrer Lyrik, ihren Chroniken und Prosawerken verarbeitet sie Erfahrungen von Flucht und Exil. Als Schriftstellerin und Publizistin war Charaf immer wieder von Zensur bedroht. Sie setzte sich insbesondere für die Lebensbedingungen von Frauen und Kindern in vom Bürgerkrieg zerrütteten Syrien ein. 2019 erhielt sie den IBN BATTUTA Prize for Travel writing. Seit September 2020 ist Kholoud Charaf Stipendiatin des Writers-in-Exile-Programms des PEN-Zentrums Deutschlands. Zuletzt erschienen ist ihr Gedichtband„Secret“ (Amjad publishing house, 2021).

 

Kiran Bhat (Spain/USA) is an Indian-American novelist, short-story writer, educator, and traveler. A polyglot of twelve languages, and Bhat's writings and post-national literary projects are some of the most promising of a writer.

 

Kumari Lama (Nepal) is a critic, essayist and teacher, writing both in English and Nepali. She has published a collection of essays, titled Ujyalo Andhakar.

 

Kurt F. Svatek,(Österreich) geb. 1949, veröffentlichte einschließlich der Übersetzungen bisher mehr als 60 Bücher und Broschüren (Haiku, Lyrik, Aphorismen, Essays, ein Roman). Seine Texte wurden mittlerweile in alle Weltsprachen übersetzt. Er ist Vorstandsmitglied des Österreichischen P.E.N.

 

Latifa Nabizada (Afghanistan/Österreich) Als die 1971 in Afghanistan geborene Latifa Nabizada noch keine zehn Jahre alt war, erlebte sie, wie die sowjetischen Truppen in ihr Heimatland einmarschierten. Sie ging zur Schule, war Klassenbeste und maturierte während des Afghanistankrieges. Im Alter von 17 Jahren bewarb sie sich – gemeinsam mit ihrer Schwester – als Pilotin bei der Militärakademie. Ihre Erfahrungen zeichnete Nabizada in einem Buch auf. Unter dem Titel "Greif nach den Sternen, Schwester!" erschien ihre Biografie 2014 auf Deutsch. Nachdem die Angriffe der Taliban schlimmer wurden – auf ihr Auto wurde geschossen, ihr Haus verwüstet -, entschied sie zu fliehen. Im Dezember 2015 kam sie mit Visum samt Tochter nach Österreich: Durch das Projekt "Wien als Zufluchtsstadt" erhielt sie das Stipendium "Writers in Exile"

 

Leela Soma (India/UK) was born in Madras, India and now lives in Glasgow. Her poems and short stories have been published in a number of anthologies and publications, national newspaper and she has published two novels( Dahlia Publishers) and two collections of poetry. Her first poetry pamphlet was ‘From Madras to Milngavie.’ Some of her poems have been in Gutter magazine, New Voices, The Grind, Visual Verse, The Bangalore Review, Karma Café,( India) The Writer’s Café and The Blue Nib( Ireland). Her poems were published in the magazine Steel Bellows, in USA, in the late fall of 2016. Her second collection of poetry is ‘Tartan & Turmeric, poems that often touch on the connections between India and Scotland. She has served on the committee for the Milngavie Books and Arts Festivals and on the Scottish Writer's Centre Committee. She is on the Milngavie Week Committee and on the East Dunbartonshire Arts and Culture Committee. Her work reflects her dual heritage of India and Scotland.

 

Lev Detela (Slowenien/Österreich) ist Schriftsteller slowenischer Herkunft, der in beiden Sprachen Lyrik, Prosa, Essays und Dramen schreibt. Außerdem ist er als Übersetzer und Kulturberichterstatter für Zeitungen, Zeitschriften und Radiostationen in Österreich, Deutschland, der Schweiz und Slowenien tätig. Im früheren Jugoslawien waren seine Bücher verboten, da er als Dissident galt. Sein literarisches Werk wurde in zahlreiche Sprachen übersetzt. Er selbst übertrug zahlreiche Werke österreichischer Autoren ins Slowenische. Detela ist Mitherausgeber und Redakteur der „Zeitschrift für internationale Literatur LOG“, arbeitet für die slowenischen Literaturzeitschriften „SRP“ und „Meddobje“ und war Redakteur der Zeitschriften „Most“ in Triest, „Mladje“ in Kärnten und der slowenischen Exilzeitschrift „Slovenska vest“.

 

Linda Morales Caballero (Peru/USA) is a professor, journalist and writer born in Lima, Peru. Morales Caballero is a Cum Laude graduate from Hunter College, CUNY with a bachelor’s degree in Media Communication, Literary Criticism and a master’s degree in Hispanic American Literature. Her articles have been published in magazines and newspapers such as: Caretas and El Comercio from Lima, Perú; La Tribuna Hispana and Tribes.org from New York. She has also co-hosted and co-produced radio programs in the same city. As a lyricist she has themes with Maestro, Lucho Neves and is a member of ASCAP. She was also the co-founder of the LAIA International Literary Competition and Anthology, and the literary group: Fuego de Luna.

 

Ludmila Svirskaja ( Khazachstan/ Czech Republic) was born in Almaty (Kazakchstan, SSSR). After school she studied Russian Literature at Altay State University (Barnaul, Altay, Russia). Now she lives in Prague, writers poems, likes cats, has two children.

 

Loures Farah (Syrien/Österreich) wurde 1984 in Syrien geboren Sie arbeitete als Veterinärin und studiere daneben Englisch. Sie veröffentlichte in verschiedenen arabischen Zeitungen und schreibt gerade an einem Roman. Sie lebt in Wien.

 

Lorena Pircher (Italien/ Österreich) wurde in Schlanders, Italien, geboren. Nach dem Besuch des Humanistischen Gymnasiums in Meran studierte sie Anglistik, Französisch und Vergleichende Literaturwissenschaften in Wien. In dieser Zeit verbrachte sie ein Semester in Frankreich und entdeckte ihr großes Interesse an Kunstgeschichte. 2018 erschien ihr erster Gedichtband „Irrende Welten“ (Provinz Verlag). Seither mehrere Veröffentlichungen in verschiedenen Literaturzeitschriften und Anthologien. Derzeit arbeitet sie an ihrem zweiten Lyrikband.

 

Liu Jixin (China/Österreich) kommt aus Peking und unterrichtet seit 2008 klassische und moderne chinesische Sprache und Literatur an der Universität Wien.

 

Magdalena Corina Wollmarker-Stiedl (Tschechien/Österreich) ist Schriftstellerin und selbstständige Filmproduzentin. Beim Manfred-Maurer-Literaturwettbewerb 2010 hat sie den 3. Platz belegt. Sie schreibt genreübergreifend Kurzgeschichten, Gedichte und Romane und arbeitet derzeit an der Fertigstellung und Veröffentlichung ihres ersten Buchs

 

Maham Javaid (Pakistan/USA) is a journalist from Pakistan. She is the winner of the 2019 Zeenat Haroon Rashid Writing Prize, and has been shortlisted for the 2020 Commonwealth Short Story Prize. Maham is currently working for Human Rights Watch in New York City.

 

Margarita Valdivia (Mexico/Österreich) Margarita Valdivia wurde 1972 in Guadalajara, Mexiko, geboren. Sie hat an zahlreichen Schreibwerkstätten teilgenommen und Gedichte bzw. Prosa-Texte in verschiedenen Literaturzeitschriften in Österreich und Mexiko publiziert. Seit 1998 lebt sie als Grafikerin und Übersetzerin in Wien.

 

Malek Abad Al Wadie (Germany/Saudi Arabia) ist saudi-arabischer Lyriker und Schriftsteller, der sowohl auf Deutsch sowie auf Arabisch schreibt, wurde im Jahr 1976 in Saudi-Arabien geboren. Nachdem er seine Schulzeit in Saudi-Arabien beendete, studierte er fünf Jahren an der Fakultät für Sprachen und Übersetzung der König Saud Universität in der Hauptstadt Riad Übersetzungswissenschaft (Deutsch-Arabisch), das er mit einem Bachelorgrad mit der „Ehrenmedaille“ abgeschlossen hatte. Danach hatte er in Deutschland an den Deutschen Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber der Universität Saarland, Bielefeld und Braunschweig teilgenommen, die er mit Erfolg beendet hatte. Anschließend hatte er den Magistergrad (Magister-Studium) in den Studiengängen Deutsch als Fremdsprache als 1. Hauptfach und Germanistik als 2. Hauptfach an der Fakultät für Linguistik und Literaturwissenschaft der Universität Bielefeld erworben. Er promovierte 2013 an der Philosophischen Fakultät der Universität Bonn im Fachbereich Übersetzungswissenschaft. Der Lyriker Malek Abad Al Wadie arbeitet derzeit in Riad als Assistenzprofessor für Germanistik und Übersetzungswissenschaft.

 

Mallika Bhaumik (India) is a widely published poet with two poetry books. Her poems, short stories, travelogue, article, interviews have been published in many well reputed mags and journals. She is also a nominee for the Pushcart Prize for poetry, 2019. Three of her poems from 'How not to remember' are included in the Post Graduate syllabus of BBMK University, Dhanbad. She lives and writes from Kolkata, India.

 

 

Mandakini Pachauri (Österreich/Indien) schreibt Lyrik und Prosa in Englisch, Deutsch und Hindi. Sie ist in Indien geboren und lebt am Rand des Wienerwaldes. Zur Zeit thematisiert sie die Widersprüche und Brüche ihrer persönlichen Geschichte und der geopolitischen Regionen in die sie sich bewegt. Ton, Bild, Codes und Sprachen sind Ausdrucksformen Ihrer Bewegungen im Körper, im Geist und im Schreiben.

 

 

Manoranjan Byapari (Bengaladesh/India) was born in 1950, in Barisal (in erstwhile East Pakistan), and came to West Bengal, India, in the aftermath of partition. As a child in a Dalit refugee family, his childhood was spent tending to cows and goats and working in roadside tea shops and restaurants, and hence he could not attend school. Thereafter he worked as a casual labourer, sweeper, night-watchman, lorry-helper and rickshaw-puller. He was jailed in connection with political activity, where he learnt to read and write. A chance encounter with the acclaimed writer, Mahasweta Devi, in 1981 — when she sat as a passenger on his cycle-rickshaw — led him to start writing. She published his autobiographical piece in her Bengali journal, Bortika. He has written twelve novels and over a hundred short stories, besides essays and poems. He was awarded the Suprova Majumdar Memorial Prize by the Bangla Academy for his autobiography in 2012.

 

Manu Dash (India) is a poet, editor, translator, publisher and curator of Odisha Art & Literature Festival. He has 18 books to his credit. He joined ‘Anam’ writers’ movement, an anti-establishment movement in Odia literature just before the Emergency in India. He writes in English as well as in Odia, his native language.

 

Mark Allen Klenk (USA/Österreich) geb. in den Vereinigten Staaten, lebt seit 1998 in Österreich. Schreibt Prosa, Lyrik auf Englisch und auf Deutsch. Zusätzlich zu seinen Mitgliedschaften bei PEN Club Austria, Institut für Jugendliteratur und IG Kultur Wien ist er als Schriftsteller, literarischer Übersetzer und Grafiker tätig. 

 

Mario Urquiza Montemayor (México/Austria) was born in December 28th of 1994 in Mexico State. He has written the collection of poetry: El canto y la casa (Capítulo Siete, 2018), Deriva sueño, Visitaciones, Elogio del árbol, Invasión de lo blanco, De pronto sin nombre, Piedra de Toque (Buenos Aires Poetry, 2019), Frente a este tiempo, Los días fundacionales, Cuaderno No 9, Caída en voz alta, Donde el aire se confunde con el viento y El anatema. Almost all his work remains unpublished. He founded the gazette "La experiencia de la libertad". His poems has been published in magazines from Spain and Mexico.

 

María Dolores Guadarrama Orozco (Mexico/France) was born in the North of Mexico late in the fifties and spent her childhood between the dry wind of the Northwestern Chihuahua, the rigors of the sun and the Rarámuri cold, with the fierce solitude of the canyons, the harsh coarseness of the land. She has published books of poems, written poems. Her life is a perpetual decree of will and dream and love of flying high. She is presently living and working in France.

 

Mária Pomšahárová (Slovakia/Austria) born in Bratislava, Slovakia, is a Slovak poet who enjoys writing additionally in English, Hungarian and Italian. Her mother is Hungarian and taught her Hungarian as a child. Later she studied Italian as well. In 2018 her poetry was featured in an English anthology called “100 Poems Are Not Enough”, (Pan Macmillan)) India. Her Slovak and English poems can be found in various anthologies.

 

Martha Gantier Balderrama (Bolivien/Deutschland) Geboren in La Paz, Studierte Geologie an der Universidad Mayor de San Andrés de La Paz, Bolivien und hat einen Abschluss in Literatur und Linguistik der Universidad Pontificia Boliviariana de Medellín, Kolumbien. Master in Literatur der Universidad Tecnológica der Pereira, Kolumbien. Sie schreibt Geschichten für Kinder, veröffentlichte in nationalen und internationalen Zeitungen, Zeitschriften und Anthologien. Sie hat an zahlreichen Literaturfestivals teilgenommen. Sie ist die Autorin von acht Büchern. Seit 2015 lebt sie wieder in Berlin.

 

Marzanna Danek-Hnelozub (Polen/Österreich) Mag. Marzanna Danek-Hnelozub, geb. in Krakau, Absolventin der Jagiellonen-Universität (Polonistik, Theaterwissenschaft. Lehramt). Lebt in Österreich seit 1989, unterrichtet die polnische Sprache an österreichischenSchulen in Niederösterreich und im Burgenland. Gründerin polnischer Bibliotheken in NÖ und im Bgld. sowie in Gefängnissen. Ihre österreichischen Schüler und Schülerinnen nehmen seit Jahren an Polnisch-Wettbewerben in Warschau teil, vielevon ihnen gewannen Preise.Schreibt Gedichte, Aphorismen, Erinnerungen, Erzählungen, satirische Werke, Monodramen und Dramen, betätigt sich als Journalistin, Redakteurin der philosophisch-philologischen Zeitschrift „Aspekty“, registriert in der Polnischen Nationalbibliothek. Ihre Werke wurden in Polen, Österreich,Norwegen und den USA veröffentlicht.Gewinnerin zahlreicher Preise bei literarischen Wettbewerben.

 

Mati Shemoelof (Israel/Berlin) is a poet, author and editor. His writing is diverse and includes six poetry books, plays, articles and fiction. His works have won significant recognition and prizes. “Remnants of the Cursed Book”- His latest short story book was published by Kinneret Zmora publishers (2014). He is one of the leading voices of the Arab-Jews (Mizrahi Movement). He was a founder of the “Guerrilla Culture” movement in Israel. Now he is one of the founders of “Poetic-Hafla”, A multi-language Poetry-Art-Music parties in Berlin. These days he is writing his second Novel as part of the rising Israeli Jewish Diaspora in Berlin. His sixth poetry book “Hebrew outside of its sweet insides” was published on Pardes Publishers (2017).

 

Maynat Kurbanova (Tschetschenien/Österreich) geb.1974 in Grozny, ist eine tschetschenische Journalistin und Autorin. Seit Anfang des zweiten Tschetschenienkrieges war sie als Korrespondentin der Moskauer Zeitung Nowaja Gazeta und für die Radiosender Radio Liberty/Free Europe im Nordkaukasus, auch in Tschetschenien, tätig. Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit der Informationsagentur France Presse wurden ihre Artikel unter dem Namen Mainat Abdulajewa in deutschen Zeitungen wie der Frankfurter Allgemeinen Zeitung und der Süddeutschen Zeitung veröffentlicht. Zusammenarbeit außerdem mit Deutsche Welle, WDR, Le Mond Diplomatique und anderem Medien. Im 2003 wurde sie für den Andrej-Sacharow-Preis „Journalistik als Tat“ nominiert. Nach mehreren Morddrohungen verließ sie Russland und war seit November 2004 Stipendiatin im Writers-in-Exile-Programm des deutschen PEN. 2007 folgte Elsbeth-Wolffheim-Stipendium der Stadt Darmstadt.

 

Media Shaban Maamo (Syrien/Österreich) ist eine 20jährige Kurdin aus Syrien, die mit anerkanntem Flüchtlingsstatus in Wien lebt. Sie besuchte das Jugendkollege und zurzeit das Abendgymnasium. Sie arbeitet an einem Roman.

 

Mërgim Osmani (Albanien/Österreich) Geboren  in Randobrava bei Prizren in Kosova, absolvierte Mërgim Osmani das naturwissenschaftlich ausgerichtete Gymnasium „Gjon Buzuku“ in Prizren. Danach begann er an der geisteswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Prishtina das Studium der Geschichte. Aufgrund der politischen Verfolgung der Studierenden und Intellektuellen durch das serbische Regime musste auch Osmani sein Studium abbrechen und das Land verlassen.Er ist in die Kulturvereine der Albaner in Österreich integriert. 2013 veröffentlichte er in Kosova seinen ersten Gedichtband “Do t’i mbledh” (dt. „Ich werde sie sammeln“), dessen Promotion in Kooperation mit dem Verband „Aleksandër Moisiu“ und den P.E.N.-Clubs in Kosova und Albanien in Prizren stattfand. “Me sytë kah qielli” (dt. „Mit den Augen gegen Himmel“) war sein zweiter Gedichtband, der 2014 in der vom P.E.N.-Club in Albanien herausgegebenen Reihe der albanischen Autoren in der Diaspora erschien.

 

Mihaela Cristescu (Romania/Australia) was born in Romania in 1970 and she emigrated in Sydney, Australia in August 2009. She holds a B.Eng. in Power Plants, a B.A. in Literature and a Master in Linguistics. Her literary work was published in five volumes of poetry and prose and could also be found in Australian Magazines such as ZineWest - Western Sydney Writers, Cordite Poetry Review (‘an Australian and international journal of poetry, criticism and research’) and Double Dialogues - Arts Journal (‘a multi-disciplinary journal dealing with modern and contemporary issues pertaining to politics, society and culture’). Cristescu has been Guest Editor of ZineWest for the last five years and Editor of the Romanian-Australian Anthologies of Poetry and Prose: Pounding the Pavement (Vol 1, 2016), On the Wallaby Track, A Journey Across Memories (Vol 2, 2017), Romanian/Australian Perspectives Between Dusk and Dawn (Vol 3, 2018) and Romanian/Australian Arguments Avant La Lettre (Vol 4, 2019).

 

Mitra Shahmoradi (Iran/Österreich) in Abadan.  Sie studierte Malerei in Teheran und Wien. Sie lebt und arbeitet als freischaffende Künstlerin in Wien, wo sie u.a. in der künstlerischen Bildung tätig ist. Seit 1982 stellt sie regelmäßig als Weltbürgerin ihre Werke im In- und Ausland aus. Sie hat zwei Gedicht und Bildband 1001 Nacht das ewige Spiel, "Wien 2015 und Ich male die Welt zu Licht Geflüster einer Malerin“, Wien, 2010 veröffentlicht.Sie organisierte zahlreiche Ausstellungen und künstlerische Veranstaltungen zu interkulturellen und genderspezifischen. Themen im In- und Ausland und wurde für ihr Engagement mit einer Professur ausgezeichnet. In Fresach spricht sie über die „Darstellung der Liebe in der bildenden Kunst des Orients“.

 

Mohammadreza Azin (Iran/ Österreich) wurde  in Teheran geboren. Er ist Musiker und schreibt Lyrik. Nach abgeschlossenem Bachelor-Studium an der Soore Universität und dem Master-Studium Komposition an der Kunstuniversität in Teheran, absolvierte er das postgraduale Studium für Komposition an der Universität für darstellende Kunst in Wien. Er spielt Klavier und auch Ney, Kamancheh, Tar, Oud (die traditionellen iranischen Instrumente). Mohammadreza Azin lebt und arbeitet in Wien.

 

Mohan Rana (India/United Kingdom) is a Hindi poet who grew up and studied in Delhi. He began writing poetry in Delhi where his experiences fed into the roots of his writing. He has lived in United Kingdom for many years. He has published eight poetry collections, and with each book his reputation as a diaspora poet has grown. Brevity, clarity and precision are defining characteristics of Mohan Rana's poetry. His latest collection is ‘Shesh Anek’ (Much Remains), published in 2016 by Copper Coin Publisher, India. His poetry has been translated into several Indian and European languages. He has given poetry readings in India, UK and Europe.

 

Mohamed Rashmy Ahamed (Sri Lanka/UK) was born in Akkaraipattu on the east coast of Sri Lanka. He has been living in the UK since the mid 2000s. He has published four collections of poetry in Tamil, including Kaakollappatta Vaazhvu, Aayiram Kiraamangalai Thindra Aadu, Eethenin Paambukal and E Thanathu Peyarai Maranthu Ponathu. He has a collection of poetry, a collection of short stories, and a novel due for publication next year. He has an MA in Visual Arts, and is deeply engaged in the field of design. He has designed the covers of more than a hundred publications to date. His poems have been translated into many languages, including English.

 

Mohamed Saleh (Sudan/Österreich) ist aus dem Sudan. Er studierte Wirtschaft und hat einDiplom in Sozialarbeit. Er lebt seit Jahren in Wien, wo er als Berater für Migrant-innen berufstätig ist. Er ist Menschenrechtsaktivist und freier Journalist.

 

Mohamed Sulieman Elfaki Al Shazly (Sudan/Qtar) is a prolific novelist and poet. His novel Bitter blackness has been taught at Grand Valley State University in Michigan USA, Comparative Politics of the Middle East (PLS 320). The British/Sudanese author has won several awards for his works, including the Tayeb Salih International Prize for Creative Writing, the Sudan Ministry of Youth Story Prize, and two University of Khartoum Story Prizes. He has written several novels in both English and Arabic.

 

Mir-Hamid Omrani (Iran/Deutschland) wurde 1954 in der iranischen Stadt Schahr-e Rey geboren. Er arbeitete in Iran als Journalist und Theaterschauspieler. Nach dreijähriger politischer Haft flüchtete ich 1984 nach Ost-Berlin, wo er aus dem Ausland heraus als Journalist für eine iranische Zeitung tätig war. In den 1990er Jahren studierte er Architektur an der Technischen Fachhochschule Berlin. Er schreibt Erzählungen und Kurzgeschichten auf Persisch.

 

Nahid Bagheri-Goldschmied (Iran/Österreich) geb. in Teheran, Lyrikerin, Prosaistin, literarische Übersetzerin, Journalistin, studierte persisch-arabische Sprachen und Literaturwissenschaft an der Universität Teheran. Nandini Sahu (India) is a professor of English and Director, School of Foreign Languages, IGNOU, New Delhi, India, is an established Indian English poet,creative writer,theorist and folklorist. She is the author/editor of fourteen books; has been widely published in India and outside.

 

Nasir Nadim (Afganistan/Turkey) a poet and writer from Afghanistan. Born in Balkh and presently living in exile in Turkey.

 

Nasrin Ranjbar (Iran/Deutschland) wurde in Shiraz, Iran, geboren. Sie studierte persischer Sprache und Literatur an der Shiraz-Universität und promovierte in Deutschland. Nathalie Giraud (France/Germany) was born in the South of France in 1987. After studying Sociology / Political Science in Paris, she worked for a few years in the International sector. She has been living in Germany for a year where she is learning German and teaching the French language. Passionate about literature and travel, she traveled to India, Turkey, Lebanon and Jordan. Marked by her travels and by Sufism, she engages in a form of writing that is experienced as a spiritual experience, witness of her time and in search of union with the loved one. Also passionate about languages, Nathalie began to learn Arabic and Urdu.

 

Nathalie Rouanet (Frankreich/Österreich) lebt und arbeitet seit 1990 in Klosterneuburg bei Wien als literarische Übersetzerin und Autorin, sowie als Poetry Slammerin unter dem Namen Ann Air. Wissenschaftliche und literarische Texte sind in französischen und österreichischen Zeitschriften erschienen. Der Roman „Von Honig und Absinth“ ist 2019 bei der pen edition publiziert. Sie studierte Germanistik an der Universität Toulouse und promovierte an der Universität Wien. Sie ist Vorstandsmitglied der IG Übersetzerinnen/Übersetzer, Mitglied der ATLF, der Literar-Mechana, des PEN Austria und der IG AutorInnen. Oktober 2019 erhielt sie den 2. Irene Harand Literaturpreis.

 

Navaratnam Giritharan (India/Canada) is a writer of Sri Lankan origin and presently lives in Toronto, Canada. He is the publisher of Tamil e-magazine, Pathivukal. Giritharan’s works have been translated into English and Sinhala.

 

Navtej Bharati (India/Canada) was born in Punjab, India in 1938, writes poetry and nonfiction in Punjabi and English. His book, Leela, more than a thousand pages long and co-authored with Ajmer Rode, is considered an outstanding work of twentieth-century Punjabi poetry. He earned degrees in literature and philosophy from Punjab University and the University of Victoria, Canada. Before immigrating to Canada in 1968, he translated and edited Indian classics for the department of languages at Punjab University. In the 1980s he co-edited a literary quarterly, Eclipse, published in London (Canada), where he now lives with his family. He is the founding chairman of the London Citizens' Committee for Human Rights. His awards and honors include the 1959, 1960, and 1961 Best Poet of the State Awards of the government of Punjab, India; the prestigious Panj Darya board’s prize for best emigrant Punjabi writer of the twentieth century; the Best Overseas Author award of the Punjab University languages department; and the Anᾱd Foundation (Delhi) Poetry Award.

 

Nina Lys Affane (Algeria/France) is a teacher, a poet and a journalist. She has published different books and a several newspaper articles on socio-economic and cultural subjects. She had organized the voice of the Algerian Francophonie and took part in cultural festivities and literary conferences both Algeria and abroad. Her poems have been translated into many languages and included in several anthologies.

 

Niva Josef (Israel/France) was born in Tel- Aviv, Israel. She studied French classic and modern literature and theatre in France: Strasbourg and Paris. She is also a theater artist. She writes write novels, short stories and plays. Her first book "Coffee flavored Europe" was published at Hakiboutz Hameuchad at 2008. It comprised of different stories which take places in various cities in Europe and Israel, such as: Paris, Berlin, Budapest, Strasbourg, Tel Aviv and more. Unique cafes, where characters meet, exchange, tell their story, while the Café serves as a theater set, and the taste of the coffee as a source of inspiration. Her second book "Anis from Nancy" was published at the same publishers, 2015, it is about a mysterious French young woman who passes one autumn in Israel, and the adventures she experiences while staying there. Her third novel is due to be published soon.

Nuzhat abbas (Pakistan/UK) Born in Faisalabad, the then Lyallpur, in Pakistan, Abbas started writing poetry in Urdu, the national language of Pakistan, but later she switched over to her mother tongue, Punjabi. Having got education of Russian language, linguistics and world literature, she has been working for Oxem in different regions of Pakistan. Abbas worked also as gender coordinator in Aghanistan, Nepal, India and Bangladesh and in that capacity she made documentary films to guide Pakistani women in different fields of life. Apart from poetry, she writes prose as well as for children. She has been honoured with different awards in Pakistan and abroad.

Ofelia Huamanchumo de la Cuba (Peru/ Deutschland) geb. 1971 in Lima, Peru, ist ansässig in München seit 2001. Sie studierte Hispanistik (Bach.) an der PUCP (Lima, Peru) und Romanistik, Komparatistik und Neuere deutsche Literatur (Mag.Art. und Dr.phil.) an der LMU (München, Deutschland). Als Schriftstellerin und Hispanistin hat sie Lyrik,- und Erzählungsbänden, Roman, Kinderliteratur, literarische Übersetzungen deutscher Lyrik ins Spanische, sowie Literaturkritik und wissenschaftliche Publikationen veröffentlicht und herausgegeben. Sie ist Gründerin und Leiterin des Verlagsprojekts Serie Escolares Multimedia (Zweisprachige Kinderliteratur Spanisch/Deutsch). 2022 wurde sie für ihr Übersetzungsvorhaben Montezuma. Eine Ballade mit einem Stipendium des Deutschen Übersetzerfonds und das deutsche Programm Neustart-Kultur ausgezeichnet.

Pascal C. Tanguy (Österreich/Frankreich) wurde in Linz, Österreich geboren. Er studierte Romanistik und Anglistik in Innsbruck, verbrachte im Rahmen seiner Lehrtätigkeit ein Jahr in den USA und vier Jahre in Frankreich (davon zuletzt 2013/14 in Paris) und arbeitet seither in Wien als Gymnasiallehrer. Seine eingehende Beschäftigung mit französischer Kunst – vor allem mit Lyrik, Malerei und Musik – verschaffte ihm wichtige Anregungen für seine Arbeit. Im Bereich der Malerei – bei der sein bevorzugtes Medium die Acrylfarbe ist – fasziniert ihn seit langem die Abstraktion. Seine erste Einzelausstellung fand im Jahr 2005 in der Bibliothek der Romanistik der Universität Wien statt. Die Fotografie ist seit seiner Kindheit Teil seines Lebens. Im Jahr 2015 fand seine erste Ausstellung in der Galerie Kandinsky in Wien statt. Weiters ist er auch musikalisch tätig, er spielt beim Concentus21 Violine.

 

Paulina Maria Klotz (Polen/Österreich), geb. in Kraków, Polen. Sie ist Übersetzerin, Dolmetscherin, Videodolmetscherin, DaF-Kursleiterin. Sie arbeitet als Lektorin am Zentrum für Translationswissenschaft der Uni Wien. Ihre Poesie und Literaturkritiken wurden in allen bedeutenden literarischen Zeitschriften in Österreich und Deutschland veröffentlicht.

 

Peter Paul Wiplinger (Österreich), Schriftsteller und künstlerischer Fotograf. Geboren 1939 in Haslach, Oberösterreich. Lebt seit 1960 in Wien. Priya Unnikrishnan (India/USA) is a writer from Kerala, India now resides in Texas, USA. She writes both in Malayalam and English. She authored two poetry books and one  book of short stories and contributed her works to several magazines, books and news Papers in Malayalam. Her English poems have recently been published in Culturecult International Magazine, Poets for Humanity 2020 by InnerChildPress, Boundless: Anthology 2020 by FlowerSongPress.

 

Rahel Isoo (Iraq/Österreich) kommt aus dem Irak und lebt mit ihrer Familie seit 1991 in Österreich. Ihre Muttersprache ist Aramäisch. Sie schreibt seit sie 18 Jahre alt. Ragip Dragusha (Albanien/Österreich) geb.1953 in Shkodra, Albanien, wo er Volks und Mittelschule absolvierte. Noch in seiner Schulzeit schreibt er seinem ersten Gedicht über seine Mutter. 1972 Matura Absolvierung und 1976 HTL Danach 90er Jahren emigrierte er nach Wien. Seit 1993 schreibt er Gedichte über Migration. Veroffentlichungen : " Gluckseliger Traum", Prishtina 2013 und "Die Kraft des Schicksals und der Liebe" Prishtina 2013.

 

Ranu Uniyal (India) is Professor of English at University of Lucknow. An author of six books, her articles and book reviews have been published widely. Her poetry has appeared in many magazines including Mascara Literary Review (Australia), Jaggery, Medulla Review, Sketch Book, Setu, Twenty 20, Whispers (USA), Littlewood Press (UK). She has published three poetry collections: Across the Divide (2006), December Poems (2012) and the most recent The Day We Went Strawberry Picking in Scarborough (2018).   

 

Rati Saxena (India) is a poet, writer, translator, Editor and vedic scholar, writes in Hindi and English. Presently lives in Trivandrum , Kerala, India. She is also festival Director of kritya International poetry festival for 10 years. Rati Saxena is writing in three directions. she has done research and explores the cultural, philosophical and historical aspects of ancient India through study of Vedas. Rodrigo Arriagada-Zubieta (Chile/Spain) is a poet, translator, and literary critic. He participates as a regular critic in the journal and press Buenos Aires Poetry (Argentina). His poems have been translated into Italian and English, and published in different journals in Chile, Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, the United States, Italy and Spain. His work has been anthologized in his own country by Santiago Inédito publishing house under the title A season in head (2020). He currently lives in Toledo, Spain.

 

Richa Jain (UK/India) come from India, she immigrated to the UK in 2016 . She is an IT engineer by qualification, a teacher by choice, and a poet by passion. Her work has been published in various magazines and anthologies. Her Hindi poetry collection ‘Richayein’ was selected by The High Commission of India, UK for Dr. Laxmimal Singhvi Publishing Grant Scheme for the year 2018.

Salma Jilani (Pakistan/ New Zealand) Salma Jilani is originally from Karachi, Pakistan where she worked as a lecturer for eight years in Govt Commerce College Karachi. In 2001, she moved to New Zealand with her family and completed M. Business from Auckland University. She has been teaching in different international tertiary institutes on and off basis. Her short stories have been published in renowned literary magazines in Pakistan and abroad. She writes stories for children as well. Salma Jilani also translated several contemporary poets from all over the world into Urdu and vice versa. “Beyrang Pewand”, her k recently publishedboo, consists of seventeen short stories and few very short stories.

 

Salman Haider (Pakistan/Canada) is a poet, playwright, and satirist from Pakistan currently living in exile in Canada. He completed his PhD in psychology from Pakistan and has been as post doctorate fellow with University of Texas at Austin, USA and University of Toronto, Canada. He also worked as artist in residence with university of Toronto. He wrote satirical commentaries on political issues for Dawn Urdu, one of Pakistan's most prestigious news Website. He wrote plays for Theatre Wallay, a theatre group in Pakistan, that were staged in various cities of Pakistan and USA. His first poetry book was published in 2021. He is a member of Writers in Exile, Canada.

 

Salem Zenia (Algeria/Spain) born1962 in Fréha, Tizi-Ouzou) is amazigh writer poet and novelist. He studied in Frèha and later in Azazga High School and journalism in the Universalis Institut of Liège Belgium. He has worked as a journalist for several publications and participated in several amazigh claiming movements. In 1998 he founded his own newspaper Racines/Izuran, a French/Tamazight bilingual biweekly oriented towards the promotion of the Berber culture and literature and was awarded with the honour diploma of Tamazgha association in Paris. He has published the poetry collections Les rêves de Yidir/Tirga n Yidir (The Dreams of Yidir, 1993) and Printemps/Tifeswin (Spring, 2004), both in French/Tamazight bilingual editions and the novels Tafrara (Dawn, 1995) and Iɣ il d wefru (Power and Sword, 2003), all published in Paris by the publisher Harmattan.

 

Salvatore Armando Santoro (Italien) ist leidenschaftlicher Dichter und Schreiber. Er organisiert und moderiert Kulturevents. Samir Abdrabou (Egypt/UK) is a prominent writer and translator from Egypt. He is a member of Egyptian writer`s union & member of Pen club, African Literature Special Interest. He has a number of translation work from Arabic into English to his credit. He is presently vining and working in UK.

 

Sanaz Davoodzadehfar (Luxembourg/Iran) is an Iranian poet born in Iran and living in Luxembourg. Her poems were published in the most important Iranian journals and newspapers and sites. Many of her poems were translated into other languages such as English, French, Spanish, German, Swedish, Kurdish.

 

 

Santosh Alex (India) is the author of 34 books and is a bilingual poet , widely published translator and a poetry curator from India. His books include poems, translations and criticism. His poems have been translated into 25 languages world over.His poems have been published in International Poetry Anthologies. His major works include two poetry collections in Malayalam titled Dooram(2008) and Njan Ninakku Oru Ghazal (2013), Two poetry collections in Hindi titled Panv Tale ki mitti (2013) and Hamare Beech Ka Maun (2017).

 

Sara Hamza Aljack Abdalla (Sudan) is a novelist, fiction writer and trained architect. Among many of her contributions to Sudanese literary are: Ṣalawāt khulāsīya (2007), khīānta’th (2012), Kambā (2015), Brūbāgāndā (2017) and Al-sūs (2017). She also wrote short stories and articles for Al-Aḥdāth, Al-Ṣaḥāfa, Al-Sūdānī and Al-Ayyām newspapers. She won a number of awards and is a member of Sudanese Writers Association, member of Sudanese Short Stories Club and Member of the Forum for Narration and Criticism. She also participated in and contributed to discussions of many forums.

 

Sarita Jenamani (Indien/Österreich) ist Schriftstellerin, Lyrikerin und Übersetzerin aus Indien. Sie studierte Wirtschaftswissenschaften und Betriebswirtschaft an der Utkal Universität und an der Fachhochschule Wiener Neustadt, sie schreibt in ihrer Muttersprache Oriya, in der indischen Nationalsprache Hindi und in Englisch. Die engagierte Feministin publizierte einige mehrfach ausgezeichnete Gedichtbände. Sie war Stipendiatin der Heinrich-Böll-Stiftung und des Künstlerdorfs Schöppingen sowie des Kulturvereins Inzing bei Innsbruck. Für ihre Übersetzungen von Gedichten der Schriftstellerin Rose Ausländer in Hindi erhielt sie ein Arbeitsstipendium des Bundeskanzleramts. Sie nahm an zahlreichen internationalen Literaturveranstaltungen und Poesiefestivals teil. Sie ist die general Sekreterin von PEN-Club Österreich.

 

Sarmad Sehbai (Pakistan/USA) is one of the most eminent poets, playwrights and directors from Pakistan. He did his master in English literature from Government College Lahore and subsequently, he joined Pakistan Television Centre (PTV) as producer. Even at college he wrote his first tele-play: Lampost (1968) for which he was charge-sheeted by the government. He continued to write plays and produced the first original Punjabi play at government college, Tu Kaun? (1971) this was followed by several other successful plays, notably The Dark Room (1971) and Phandey (1972). He composes poetry in Urdu and Punjabi that is conspicuous for its fresh imagery, modern idioms and earthy sensibility. Three collections of poetry have been published so far. He lives in USA.

 

Shameela Yoosuf Ali (Sri Lanka/UK) She is a Bilingual Writer, Poet, & an Independent Researcher. She writes in Tamil and English and translates from and to both languages. Shameela Holds a Masters in Journalism and a Masters in Sociology and continuing her passionate academic journey.She lives in England filled with endless nostalgia for her homeland, Sri Lanka. She is serving as the Editor-In-Chief of FemAsia Magazine. Shameela is a self-taught artist.

 

Shanta Acharya (India/UK) was born and educated in Cuttack, Orissa, in India. She won a scholarship to Oxford, where she was among the first batch of women admitted to Worcester College. A recipient of the Violet Vaughan Morgan Fellowship, she was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy for her work on Ralph Waldo Emerson – the first person from Orissa to be awarded the DPhil. She was a Visiting Scholar in the Department of English and American Literature and Languages at Harvard University before joining Morgan Stanley in London. She worked in the asset management industry and has written extensively on the subject. The author of eleven books, her publications range from poetry, literary criticism and fiction to finance. In addition to her philanthropic activities, she served twice on the board of trustees of the Poetry Society in the UK. Her latest, Imagine: New and Selected Poems, is published by HarperCollins (India).

 

Shubh Bala Schiesser (India/USA) is a USA based writer of Indian origin. She has a poetry book “The Sacred River” to her credit. She has a master’s degree in Social Work from Delhi University and worked for the Texas Rehabilitation Commission in the Disability Department. She poems are published in the Texas Poetry Calendar, Di-Verse-City Anthology, The Borderlands Texas Poetry Review etc. She writes and performs poetry at various places in USA.

 

Dr. Syed Sarwar Hussain (India/Saudi Arabia) holds a Ph.D. in English Literature from Patna University, Patna, India. He teaches English at the College of Languages and Translation, King Saud University, Riyadh. Dr. Hussain has been teaching English for the past thirty-six years, sixteen of them in India, and the rest in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He taught English in Magadh University, Bihar, India, and at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, India. Dr. Hussain has several research papers to his credit, in various on-line and international print journals. He has also published five books that include 'Ideology and the Poetry of Stephen Spender' (1988), 'Despairing Voices' (2011), 'Ashes in the Fire' (2012), and 'The Eastern Brew' (2013), and 'Nameless Lanes', and ‘Scattered Leaves’ (2017). His book 'Scattered Leaves' is under publication.

 

Şerafettin Yıldız (Türkei/Österreich) ist Schriftsteller und Übersetzer türkischer Abstammung und lebt seit 1978 in Wien, wo er u.a. als Schulberater für Zuwanderer tätig ist. Er hat ein abgeschlossenes Studium der Volkswirtschaft, ist Mitglied des Österreichischen PEN Club, Vortragender, Gastreferent und Juror bei Literaturwettbewerben. Die Liste seiner Publikationen ist lang, mit Veröffentlichungen in Literaturzeitschriften und Anthologien im In- und Ausland u.a. in Italien, Holland, Slowakei, Deutschland, Rumänien, Mexiko, Rumänien, Türkei.

 

Satis Shroff (Nepal/Deutschland) Geboren 1950 in Nepal. Beruflich hat er eine breite Palette hinter sich: Nach seinem Abitur hatte er zuerst Zoologie und Botanik in Katmandu studiert und als Journalist über naturwissenschaftliche und kulturelle Themen geschrieben. 1976 kam er mit einem Stipendium nach Freiburg und studierte Medizin – das war der Wunsch seines Vaters, nicht seine eigene Wahl. Bis 1990 arbeitete er an der Uniklinik, unter anderem in der Chirurgie und Neurologie. Dann starb sein Vater, und Satis Shroff studierte nochmal, diesmal Sozialarbeit. Außerdem machte er Kurse in "creative writing", schrieb Reiseführer und Gedichte. Und inzwischen unterrichtet er: An der Akademie für medizinische Berufe hat er unter anderem mit Pflegekräften und Hebammen zu tun, an mehreren Volkshochschulen und der Pädagogischen Hochschule lehrt er Englisch und "creative writing.

 

Dr. Sayyed Mousa (Egypt/Saudi Arabia) is an assistant professor of Comparative Literature and Translation Studies. He has his Ph.D. in Hermeneutics and Translation studies where his research focus is on how to address the problems arising in interpreting and translating classical Arabic texts. He is a literary critic, writer and translator. His publications range from translation studies, literary criticism, creative writing, and theology to comparative literature in international journals. He is Egyptian; however, he currently lives in Saudi Arabia.

 

Shelly Bhoil (Brazil/India) is an Indian poet and lives in Brazil. Her recently published works include poetry in Brazilian-Portuguese Preposição de entendimento (Editora Urutau, Brasil) and a pocket-book in Spanish Poemas em contrucción (Alto del Nudo, Colombia).

 

Silman Kabol (Syrien/Österreich) ist ein syrischer Dichter. Er lebt zurzeit in Wien. Er hat an verschiedenen Lesungen sowohl in Wien als auch in Prag teilgenommen. Seine Texte wurden bereits in verschiedenen syrischen Zeitungen wie auch Online veröffentlicht.

 

Sonia Solarte Orejuela (Kolubien/Deutschland) geb. in Cali, Kolumbien, Eine mehrfach ausgezeichnete, in Deutschland lebende Dichterin, Sängerin, Psychologische Psychotherapeutin, Leiterin von Schreibwerkstätten, die ihre Gedichte singend vorträgt. Instrumental begleitet wird sie dabei von den Musikerinnen ihres Trios SolArte. Ihre Gedichte sind in nationalen und internationalen Anthologien, Literaturzeitschriften und Zeitungen in europäischen und lateinamerikanischen Ländern zu finden. Bis heute hat sie 5 Gedichtbände und 2 CDs mit ihren eigenen Liedgedichten herausgebracht. Sie ist Mitglied des Deutschen Schriftstellerverbandes, des Österreichischen P.E.N.-Clubs und des kolumbianischen „Verbandes Autoren von der Küste.

Sue Zhu (China/New Zealand) 淑文, used to be a TV presenter in China, now lives in New Zealand. She is a member of the poetry institute of China, The NZ–China Association, NZ Poem Art Association Incorporated, honorary director of the US-China Cultural Association, Editor for some Chinese poetry clubs in China, USA and New Zealand. Her poems were published in Chinese main newspapers and magazines such as People’s Daily, Poem Selection Magazine, Chinese Poets, China Daily and international media such as World Journal, International Daily News, Taiwan Times. Some of her poems were translated into English, French, Macedonia, Hindi languages and published in counties including United States, Canada, New Zealand, Singapore, Indonesia, Japan and Philippine.... She is a multi award winner in the Chinese national poetry competitions. 

 

Shruti Mishra (India) is a Lucknow-based writer, currently a scholar at the Department of English and Modern European Languages in the University of Lucknow. She is extremely passionate about writing poetry specifically love poems and sonnets. Her works have previously been published in various online journals and newspapers. Her area of research includes Bohemian poetry and love lyrics. She has also done an extensive work in translating poetry.

 

Suchita Parikh-Mundul(India) is a writer and copy editor whose articles have appeared in Femina, The Swaddle, and other magazines. Her poetry can be read in The Bombay Literary Magazine, Kritya, Gulmohur Quarterly, Narrow Road, Outlook India, Yugen Quest Review, Sahitya Akademi’s Indian Literature, and other journals. Her work has also been included in anthologies such as Amity: peace poems, The Well-Earned (both Hawakal, 2022), On Hunger: A Poetrygram Anthology (ed. Helen Cox, 2023), other international compilations, and The Yearbook of Indian Poetry in English 2022-2023 (forthcoming, Hawakal). She lives in Mumbai, India.

 

Sukrita Paul Kumar (Kenya/india) was born and brought up in Kenya and is at present living in Delhi. She held the Aruna Asaf Ali Chair at the University of Delhi, till recently. An Honorary Fellow of International Writing Programme, University of Iowa (USA) and a former Fellow of the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla, she was also an invited poet in residence at Hong Kong Baptist University. She has published several collections of poems in English including, Folds of Silence, Without Margins, Rowing Together and Apurna. Her poems selected and translated by the eminent lyricist Gulzar has been published by HarperCollins as a bilingual book, Poems Come Home. Sukrita’s major critical works include Narrating Partition, Conversations on Modernism.

 

Suparna Sengupta (India) lives in Bangalore, India and is a faculty, Department of English at the Jyoti Nivas College for more than a decade now. She has translated various poets from India and Bangladesh and has been published in literature magazines. Her translated poem has been published in “Silence Between the Notes”, an anthology on Partition poetry(ed. Sarita Jemnani and Aftab Hussain). She also features in the Annual Handbook of “Words and Worlds”, a bi-lingual magazine(PEN Austria Chapter) as also in ‘City: A Journal of South-Asian Literature’, Vol 7, 2019 (City Press Bangalore).

 

Suzanne Ibrahim (Syria/Sweden) is a poet and freelance journalist. In 2018 in wake of having been threatened and attacked by both the regime and the rebels because of her texts she left Syria and arrived in Östersund, Sweden where she is now living as a guest writer.

 

Svet Di Nahum (Bulgaria/Austria) was born in 1970 in Sofia, Bulgaria. He is a graduate of the Department of Philosophy at Southern Illinois University. He has published short stories in numerous literary magazines in Bulgaria and throughout Europe; his work has been translated into English, German, Russian, Serbian, Turkish, Spanish, and French. His fiction has appeared in US literary magazines such as Drunken Boat, Gloom Cupboard, Danse Macabre, and Audience, and in HCE Magazine in UK. Di-Nahum is the author of The Wolf's Howl (Short Novel, 1994); The Unicorn in Captivity (Collection of Short Stories, 2007), RAPTUS (Novel, 2009) Nicola Against Nicola (Short Novel & Screenplay, 2012), The Doctrinaire (Novel, 2015), and The Hangman and the Clown (Stage Play, 2017). RAPTUS was a nominee for the Elias Canetti National Literary Award and was subsequently published in the United States by Hammer & Anvil Books (Las Vegas, 2013). His collection of short stories, Mozart in Prague, is accepted for publication by Cervena Barva Press, Boston, MA. Di Nahum serves as Press Secretary for PEN Center Bulgaria, defending human rights and freedom of expression. Winner of Essay Competition for World Noble Peace Prize Laureates 2013 in Warsaw (and Lech Walesa Foundation) with his essay Solidarity Restarted. Author of screenplays: Raptus (2010), The Second Life of Michael Jackson (2011), The Unicorn In Captivity (2012), Rays (2013). In 2012 wins BTV competition for sitcom episode (TV comedy series Home Arrest).

 

Tabish Khair (India/Denmark) Born (1966) and educated mostly in Bihar, India, Tabish Khair is the author of various books, including the poetry collection, WHERE PARALLEL LINES MEET (Penguin, 2000), the study, BABU FICTIONS: Alienation in Indian English Novels (Oxford UP, 2001) and the novel, THE BUS STOPPED (Picador, UK, 2004), which was short-listed for the Encore Award. His honours and prizes include the All India Poetry Prize (awarded by the Poetry Society and the British Council) and honorary fellowship (for creative writing) from the Baptist University of Hong Kong. OTHER ROUTES, an anthology of pre-modern travel texts by Africans and Asians, co-edited and introduced by Khair, was published by Signal Books and Indiana University Press in 2005 and 2006 respectively. Khair's latest novel, FILMING: A Love Story (Picador, UK, 2007), shortlisted for the Crossword Vodafone Prize, examines memory and guilt against the backdrop of the 1940s Bombay film industry: a Danish translation will be published by EC Edition, Aarhus, in November 2009. The major feminist house, Zubaan Books, published Khair's first illustrated book for children (THE GLUM PEACOCK) in the winter of 2008. Khair has just finished his study, THE GOTHIC, POSTCOLONIALISM AND OTHERNESS, published in USA and UK by Palgrave (Macmillan) in Winter 2009, and his latest collection of poems, MAN OF GLASS (based on texts by Kalidasa, Ghalib and H. C. Andersen), which will be published by Harper Collins in 2010. He works in Aarhus, Denmark.

 

Tahere Asghary (Iran/Deutschland) wurde 1966 im Iran / Isfahan geboren. Schon als Jugendliche machte sie sich mit der persischen Lyrik vertraut und es entstanden erste eigene Gedichte. Seit 1989 lebt sie in Deutschland. Sie studierte Soziologie in Hannover. Die diplomierte Sozialpädagogin arbeitete über zehn Jahre im Frauenhaus Hannover und sie ist zurzeit bei Szenia Tagesaufenthalt für Frauen in existenziellen Notlagen und Wohnungsnot angestellt. Sie ist Mitbegründerin der Frauenorganisation von im Exil lebenden iranischen Frauen (Frauen Tribunal e.V.) und ist als Tänzerin und Tanzlehrerin für orientalischen Tanz tätig. Veröffentlichungen: „das Herz ist tiefer“, Hannover 2009 Leichtfüßig Bremen 2013 und die Tage der Liebe, Hannover 2016.

 

Tali Cohen Shabtai (Israel/Norway), is a poet, she was born in Jerusalem, Israel. She lived Oslo Norway and in the U.S.A. She is very prominent as a poet with a special lyric, Tali studied at the "David Yellin College of Education" for a bachelor's degree. She is a member of the Hebrew Writers Association and the Israeli Writers Association in the state of Israel. Tali has written three poetry books: Purple Diluted in a Black’s Thick, (bilingual 2007), Protest (bilingual 2012) and Nine Years Away From You (2018).

 

Taslima Nasrin (Bangladesh/Sweden) is a Bangladeshi-Swedish award-winning writer, physician, secular humanist and human rights activist, is known for her powerful writings on oppression of all kinds. She has fiercely criticised religion, despite forced exile and multiple fatwas calling for her death. In India, Bangladesh and abroad, Nasreen’s fiction, nonfiction, poetry and memoir have topped the best-seller’s list. Born in Bangladesh, Taslima won The Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought from the European Parliament in 1994. She received the Kurt Tucholsky Award from Swedish PEN, the Simone de Beauvoir Award and Human Rights Award from Government of France, Le Prix de l’ Edit de Nantes from the city of Nantes, France, Academy prize from the Royal Academy of arts, science and literature from Belgium..

 

Talal Mortada (Syrien/Österreich) ist ein syrischer Schriftsteller, Lyriker und Journalist. Er veröffentlichte mehrere Publikationen in arabischer Sprache. In den sozialen Medien ist er Herausgeber der „Schachseite“. Seit einigen Jahren lebt er in Österreich und ist aktiv im Arabisch-Österreichischen Haus für Kultur und Kunst.

 

Tithi Dani (India/UK) immigrated to the UK in 2015. She used to work as a journalist in radio, news channel, and newspaper in India. She studied English Literature. I worked as an Indian Chef in one of the Accor Hotel Groups. Her manuscript of the poetry collection 'Prarthnarat Battakhein' was selected and honourned by the Indian High Commission in London under the Publication grant scheme and later it received Vagishwari award in India. Her poems, articles, stories widely published in various reputed literary magazines, newspapers, special issues of magazines.

 

Umid Najjari (Azerbaijan/Turkey) is a poet, author, translator and publicist, a member of the Azerbaijan Writers' Union, and the World Union of Young Turkish Writers, and an author of three books. He started writing at a young age, and his first works were published in the periodicals of Tabriz. His books Valley of Birds (2015) and On the other side of the walls (2019) were published in Iran. In 2019, his book Photo of Darkness was published in Baku, and in 2020 his book of poems Slika Tame (in Serbian) was published in Belgrade, and Forget was published in Uzbekistan.

 

Usha Kishore (India/UK) Born and brought up in Kerala, India, Usha Kishore lives on the Isle of Man, with her doctor husband and two children. Usha was educated at the University of Kerala (India), Sheffield Hallam University (UK) and Canterbury Christ Church University (UK). After having taught for some time in the British Secondary and Tertiary Sector in Kent and on the Isle of Man, Usha now teaches at Queen Elizabeth II High School, where she is KS5 co-ordinator for English.Usha’s poetry is internationally published and translated into German, Spanish, Gujurati and Manx Gaelic. Her work has won prizes in UK competitions and has been part of national and international projects. Usha’s poetry is also part of the British Primary and Indian Middle School and Undergraduate syllabi. Usha is the author of 2 collections of poetry and book of translation from the Sanskrit. A third collection of poetry is forthcoming from Eyewear Publishing London. Usha has read at the House of Lords, The Nehru Centre (Indian High Commission), London and at the Manx LitFest and on Manx Radio and Near FM Dublin.

 

Vasile Baghiu (Romania) is a Romanian writer, author of eight books of poetry, a collection of short stories and three novels published in his country. He has been awarded a few writers-in-residence grants, in Germany, Austria, Scotland and Switzerland. Some of his works have appeared in translation in magazines and anthologies such as Penmen Review, Magma Poetry, Southern Ocean Review, The Orange Room Review, Stellar Showcase Journal, L.A. Melange, Poetry Can, Banipal, Cordite Poetry Review, The Aalitra Review, Bordertown. Co-author of the poetry collection Transatlantic Crossings: The Constant Language of Poetry, (TJMF Publishing, USA, 2006). Vasile had in the past diverse work experiences as a nurse, including a sanatorium. A psychologist and a teacher now, married, a daughter and a son, he currently works simultaneously on a new novel, a new collection of poems and a non-fiction book.

 

Valeria Ocana-Sandoval (Guatemala/Österreich) ist in Guatemala mittel Amerika geboren und in Kalifornia aufgewachsen. Sie ist Kindergarten Pädagogin. Sie lebt seit sieben Jahren in Eggersdorf in der Nähe von Graz. Ihre Muttersprache ist Englisch und Spanisch.

 

Maga Virginia Argarate (Argentinien/Österreich) arbeitet beim Verein OMEGA. Sie studierte Kommunikationswissenschaft. Sie ist Zertifizierte Trainerin in der Erwachsenenbildung. Sie hat Diplom Management mit interkulturellen Kompetenzen.

 

Victor Klykov (Russland/Österreich) Diplomat, Dichter, Journalist, Übersetzer, er lebt in Österreich. Er ist Dr. in Ökonomie, Mitglied-Korrespondent der Internationalen Akademie der System-Forschungen (IASS). Er arbeitete viele Jahre bei der Vereinten Nationen in Wien. Außerdem er ist Mitglied des Schriftstellerverbandes Russlands, der Literarischen Freiwilligen Gesellschaft des Schutzes der Libellen (DOOS), des Österreichischen Zentrums des International PEN-Clubs und „Gesellschaft der Lyrikfreunde“; Präsident des Literaturklubs „Russische Poesie in Österreich“.

 

Weaam Fatal (Syrien/Österreich) kommt aus Syrien und lebt zurzeit in Wien. Sie schreibt Lyrik und kurze Geschichten. Sie hat mehrere Texte veröffentlicht und an mehrere Lesungen teilgenommen.Widad Hamdan Saifo (Syrien/ Österreich) ist eine syrische Dichterin. Sie absolvierte ihr Studium der Bibliothekwissenschaften 2012 an der Universität Damaskus. In mehreren arabischen Zeitungen und Internetseiten veröffentlichte sie ihre Gedichte und Artikel. Sie arbeitete für den Sender „Stimme der Jugend“ in Damaskus / Syrien und in der Stiftung Raya im Bereich der Dokumentation in Istanbul / Türkei. Sie wohnt und arbeitet in Wien.

 

Wasim Makeem Javed (India/UK) Born in Kolkata, India. Currently live in London, United Kingdom. I came to UK as an engineering student. Completed both undergraduate and postgraduate qualifications in the UK.He is working as a CEO at mChrome Solutions Ltd, a business strategy and tech development company.

 

Wafika Maatouk (Lebanon/Austria) is Lebanon born and Austria based writer. She writes in arbic as well as in English. Recently she published a book of painting. She has a post graduate degree from the Lebanese university in Interior Architecture. She worked as Junior interior architect in Al Habtoor engineering company in Dubai, United Arab Emirate. She lives and works in Vienna.

 

Yahya Fadlallah (Sudan/Kanada) ist Schriftsteller, Dichter und Schauspieler, er wurde im Sudan geboren und wuchs dort auf. Unzählige Geschichten wurden in den sudanesischen bzw. arabischen Zeitungen veröffentlicht. Er hat mehrere Publikationen, Er lebt seit Jahren in Kanada.

 

Yogesh Patel (India/UK) has received an MBE for literature in the Queen’s New Year Honours list 2020. Internationally celebrated, he edits Skylark and runs Skylark Publications UK as well as a non-profit Word Masala project to promote South-Asian diaspora literature. Previously he has received the Freedom of the City of London. With LP records, films, radio, children’s book, fiction and non-fiction books, and three poetry collections to his credit, he is a recipient of many awards, including an honour in April 2019 at New York University as a Poet-of-Honor. Amidst many venues, he has read in the House of Lords and at the National Poetry Library.  His writing has appeared in many important literary journals, including PN Review, The London Magazine, Asia Literary Review, Under the Radar, Shearsman, IOTA, Envoi, Understanding, Orbis, The Book Review, Confluence, on BBC TV and Radio, in newspapers, and more. His work also features in The National Curriculum anthology, MacMillan, Sahitya Akademi and numerous other anthologies across the world. By profession, Yogesh is a qualified optometrist and an accountant.

 

Yuan Changming (China/Canada) is 9-time Pushcart nominee, grew up in rural China, began to learn the English alphabet at 19, and published monographs before moving to Canada as an international student. While pursuing his graduate studies in University of Saskatchewan, he helped establish the Saskatchewan Chinese Monthly, and served as its chief editor until 1992. After obtaining his PhD in English, he began to work as a private tutor in Vancouver. In early August 2004, Changming started to write poetry in English and is now probably the world's most widely published poetry author who speaks Mandarin but writes mainly in English: since mid-2005, Changming has had poetry appearing in more than 1,000 literary journals/anthologies across 38 countries.

 

Zehava Khalfa (Israel/Germany) was born in Alma in northern Israel. She studied genetics and Middle East politics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and graduated with an M.A. and an M.Sc. She submitted her doctoral thesis on Israeli settlement policy during the withdrawal from the Gaza Strip to the University of Potsdam in October 2019. Her texts have been published in Haaretz, in the magazine Jalta, Mikan Ve’eylakh, Po’em, Kefel, Motiv, Salonet, Yekum Tarbut, Mashiv haRuah and on the website of the Hebrew Library Berlin. Her poems appear in the German-Hebrew anthology: `Was es bedeuten soll: Neue hebräische Dichtung in Deutschland, edited by Gundula Schiffer and Adrian Kasnitz, Parasitenpresse (2019). In an anthology, between the lines, edited by Michal Zamir and Yael Almog, Passagen (2019). Her poems book "Where It All Goes" Iton 77 Tel Aviv, will be published in June 2020.She is currently writing her first novel.

Zohir Abu Saad (Syrien/Österreich) Geboren 1987 in Syrien, wuchs Zohir Abu Saad in einer Familie auf, in der Bildung und Wissenschaft stets einen sehr hohen Stellenwert hatten. Er besuchte die Grundschule in Al-Shaghour (Damaskus), die Mittelschule Badr Al-Din Al-Hasani und maturierte schließlich im Akademischen Gymnasium. Dies berechtigte Abu Saad, der von klein auf von arabischer Literatur beeinflusst wurde, zum Studium an der Literarischen Fakultät der Universität Damaskus, welches er in der Folge mit Auszeichnung abschloss. Abu Saad,, wurde vom Nagib-Mahfuz-Verlag für den Literaturnobelpreis im kommenden Jahr vorgeschlagen.

 

Zülekha Akyazi (Türkei/ Österreich) wurde in Ordu/Türkei geboren. Sie lebt seit1992 in Österreich. Sie hat BWL Fernstudium Fernuniversität Hagen, Deutschland zwei Semester abgeschlossen. Zurzeit studiert sie Türkische Sprache und Literatur.
