Mihaela Cristescu (Romania / Australia) was born in Romania. She holds a B.Eng. in Power Plants, a B.A. in Literature and a Master in Linguistics. Her volumes of poetry and short stories were published in her native country: Nods, Twelve Hierophanies, The Rhythm of Life, Generative Fortresses, The IT Solander and she debuted in Sydney with Sacred – a series of seven stanzas printed in ZineWest10 (awarded third prize). Cristescu is the Editor of the Romanian-Australian Anthologies of Poetry and Prose: Pounding the Pavement (2016), On the Wallaby Track, A Journey Across Memories (2017) and Romanian and Australian Perspectives Between Dusk and Dawn (2018) and the coordinator of the launching events of the Anthologies at the State Library of NSW during the Multicultural March governmental program.

TOAMNA ROSTITĂ
1. Mușcături
ale frunzelor
încarcerate,
prin ramuri maronii,
în lupta lor
cu vara.

așezându-ne
pe banca verde și rece:
mulțimea vidă,
aina de ploaie.

Aceasta este vremea
ce-mi place
-stabilă
chiar împotriva
cinei interzise

Visuri lângă cascadă
curgând unul câte unul

către pietre

Păstrând
viziunea
ultimului moment

Tone de echipament
prin mediul roșiatec,
